Put a 2012 macbook pro 15 inch airport card in 2011 macbook pro

Compare the two cards. Check if they send you wrong Card. Upload a picture of the cards. And from where did you get it ?! Give us a link 🙂

i would guess that they sent u an old card... :/ because there is no specific description for Bt 4.0 or the special Bt Modelname in ebay description.

The 661-6510 is not the right part. I got my correct one and it has a different part number.. You have to make sure it says it comes with the BCM20702 chip. Otherwise you probably have the wrong one.

Thank's for the link. i already command one! but something weird since i have install it! My MBP connect automatically with my iphone for the internet sharing... when the MBP is out of wifi and it have never done that with the original one???

I picked up that card from the link you posted (OS-Store). Wifi works but bluetooth is listed as unavailable. Any tips on getting it working? I've done a number of SMC and PRAM resets as well as deleted the bluetooth.plist files and reinstalling the card. I'm thinking it's a dud as it is a refurb.

The page that loads when I follow the link to the part from the 'OS store' seems to be different than what the link suggests? Is this what happened with you and if so did you ever find somewhere that sells the part?
