My wifi is no longer working. Problem occured a few weeks after OIS 7 upgrade. Current version is 7.0.4
The wifi is greyed-out in the settings and if I use the new IOS 7 shortcut my phone freezes completely and needs rebooting.
Prior to upgrade I have never had wifi problems.
I have tried to reboot, to restore, shut down and wait... etc.... no change
Downgrading to IOS6 would be great if possible

Apple said my phone was faulty & would cost ÂŁ164.00 to repair. All the errors which are listed here are the same symptoms as I have.

You can fix it and trust me all apple will say is o replace it....
I know this might sound crazy, but trust me and just try it! There is no harm!
1) prepare a blow dryer and have your phone with you...
2) Blowdry you phone on and off (10sec on and 2 sec off) since you don't want to distort your phone...
3)Blowdry till your phone says the temperature is too hot so you can't do anything unless a emergency call
4)once cooled down it may be already connected to wifi, but if not restart your phone
5)give me feedback

After the cooling down period, I had to restart the phone (both buttons at the same time). I did leave it of a few minutes after it was shut down... Now it has been working fine for almost 24h.

Works!! Thank you so much. Apple "Geniuses" told me first there was water damage, then another time they told me it was software. Buy a new phone is all they suggested.

how many times do i have to do this procedure? to blowdry my iphone, i understand till the phone says the temperature is too hot, but more precisely minutes, hours.....
I actually put the phone in the oven, and I have only done it once...
Leave it on, while cooling down, then restart pressing both buttons... It should work..
Riiiight in the oven, yeeeahhhh sure like that is gonna fly...... shall i put some onions and garlic to go with the iphone? đ
This took about 20 minutes for me. I placed it in front of my small space heater. It worked though.
I just finished doing this. I had my hair dryer on high and I kind of waved it around the back of the phone for ten seconds at a time then flipped it and did the same.. It took about ten flips.
Now we will see if it worked.
ETA: It did nothing for me. Even after a restart. â
If you bake or fry your iPhone, it will fry your coverage too.
