If you're trying to fix that broken partition using a virtual drive (whatever that means to you), it won't work.
Recreate the partition and restore from backup.
You can use Disk Utility's Restore feature to do a low-level, block-wise copy of one disk to another. It will take a long time and the result will be a duplicate of the original.
You said that a DMG is a virtual drive, but the size of the DMG is depend upon the free space of our bootable drive.
For Example : If our bootable drive having 100 GB free space , then we are restricted to make a DMG of less than 100 GB.
But according to the concept of virtual drive we can make a drive of any size , it does not depend upon the size of our bootable drive.
Than how can we say that a DMG is a virtual drive.
This concept of "virtual drive" is something you made up. You can define it however you want.
Okay, you are right.
We can easily create a drive less the than the size of our bootable drive.
But is there any procedure to create a virtual drive larger than the size of bootable drive.
Hi,
I have to sort a number of strings which have lots of characters, numeric values, special characters, symbols etc.
For which I am using "Unicode Sorting Algorithm".
Can you tell me the program of "Unicode Sorting Algorithm" in Cocoa or in any other language.
Please start a new thread for this. You are hijacking a thread that most people are annoyed with, anyway.
