iPad 2
I used 1234 as recommended by another user. I didn’t recall ever setting a PIN for restrictions and now it seems it was set during an up date. I would suggest before resetting phone try the default 1234. Work for me
If you forgot the restrictions passcode you either restore to a backup (if it was taken when the code wasn't on the device), or reset the device back to factory defaults (for both, first copy off anything that you want to keep)
The question is what was your first password or set of numbers to unlock your iPhone, use that or as much of it that will fit in the dots requesting the password and it will unlock it . I know because I just went through this

The restriction passcode is completely unrelated to the passcode you use to unlock the phone unless you intentionally set the passcode to be the same.
So I'm using an iPad mini 2nd Gen and i am trying to view the restrictions password. I got to the whole file and everything, but my password shown in-between the <integer>XXXX</integer> script is not working. Its either ask you, or reset all data (probably about the worst and almost the only option i have 😟).
If you can't remember it restore to a backup (if it was taken when the code wasn't on the device), or reset the device back to factory defaults (for both, first copy off anything that you want to keep)
You get it by remembering it. If you can't remember it restore to a backup (if it was taken when the code wasn't on the device), or reset the device back to factory defaults (for both, first copy off anything that you want to keep)
Thank you so much Veselorjan! That worked great for me! I was locked out of an iPad and an iPhone, iOS 9 and iOS 10, and it worked great. I just backed them up to my computer and ran the Terminal Application. EASY!!!

Tired this, it says Find My IPhone has to be turned off before you can proceed. The problem is, find my iPhone was restricted in restrictions. So I can not turn it off. I also went into find my iPhone and choose erase ipad. It says erase pending and that the iPad would be erased once it's connected to the internet.
The iPad is connected to the internet. So I'm not sure what the malfunction is.
Hi ! This is to let u know that my iPhone 6s storage is full & I do not have any app installed but my device is showing memory full what to do
..... ?I even tried to format my phone but I do not remember my passcode restriction code number so if u can kindly help me with my phone then I'll be very glad .please reply ASAP as it's of no use using my phone ... can't take pic, download so annoying I hope u can feel me 🙂 .ill be waiting thank you !
Try a soft-reset/reboot of the phone and see if that frees up space. For the restrictions passcode, and if you want to reset the phone, restore to a backup (if the backup was taken when the code wasn't on the phone), or use recovery mode to reset the phone
If you can't remember what you set it to, restore to a backup (if it was taken when the code wasn't on the device), or reset the device back to factory defaults (for both, first copy off anything that you want to keep)
i tried this passcode, and it locked me out for another 60 mins...so it didnt seem to work. Here is the code, just to make sure it is right. I used 3552.

Yes, that does work but I had 2 issues I can save you from dealing with.
1st you will lose all your contacts and photos from your previous back up because if you sync to a stored back up the password reapplies itself . Sync to an older iPhone device that has no restrictions after the process and let the 2 devices do the work. Or start a new contact list if you haven’t saved one on your PC.
2nd turn off find my iPhone in your cloud settings. It does not work if that’s been initialized.
If you have a back up of your iPad before you put on the restrictions passcode try restoring that back up from iTunes on your computer and that should fix it.
if you don’t have a back up of it you can erase it and set up as a new iPad or just try random codes every few hours if you don’t want to lose any data

Hi dgowalker you said that you had tried password 1234 as the default Apple restriction password and it had worked for U ,but I tried it and it didn’t work for me
Did I miss anything?
There is no default Apple restriction passcode. If your passcode was 1234, it's because you or someone with access to your phone chose that.
