iTunes 11.1.5 crashes on launch

I´ve just installed the new iTunes update 11.1.5, a version that says to fix earlier crashes. I have not had any problems with 11.1.4 as apparently many others, but updated anyway, in good faith as usually... Now my iTunes crashes. The program starts, but within a second or two it crashes. I have a Macbook Pro late 2013 with OSX 10.9.2. Intresting is that I have also a Mac Mini that was updated aswell, and that one works perfectly. Same software versions.

Anyone else experiencing the same problem, or have any tips on how to fix this?

Thanks for the tip on the iBooks library, I found out that what was crashing my iTunes was a corrupted PDF file, the last one that I had recently added to iBooks on my iPad, it worked fine on the iPad, but when iTunes tried to sync it to iBooks on my Mac it started the annoying crash on start. After I deleted this PDF from iBooks (iPad and Mac) the crashing stopped.

I had the same Problems. After reading https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5943455 I disconnected my Mac from the internet and turned off every function in the Store and the Sharing iTunes Settings Tab. I then restarted iTunes (and maybe even my Mac) und reenabled everything. Runs fine now.

I tried this after a month of fruitlessly trying other things on my Mountain Lion iMac and it worked. It's now 3 days later and still no beachball - how long did it take yours to hang again?
