Touch ID doesn't work after iOS 7.1 Update

Same issue. Touch ID not working after iOS 7.1 update. Won't even recognize when trying to add a new fingerprint.

Same here. Tried a restore, nothing helped. I tried to add a fingerprint but it just doesn't start scanning. It was fine just before the update

My problem solved, i had the same ptoblem , then i done a clean restore and restore my backup and then suddenly it worked again!!!!!

Its strange - it seems like the sensor is "recovering" over time. If the scanner is not responding wait some time (ca. 20sec) and than it works for some scans - repeat if neccessary!... 😕

I added a finger print following your suggestion - howver, the scan most often doesn't work even at unlock time...

i have the same problem, been restore the phone to 7.1 for the second time, choose start as new, able to add fingerprint, then testing the touch id to unlock the phone= success, later on after install some apps, music, video and photo, touch id not working at all (cannot unlock the phone -- phone unlock on setting is on, cannot add fingerprint cause the touch not responding at all)

is not like after updating to 7.1 the touch id not working at all, but after installing some apps, it didnt work at all

update: connect the iphone to computer, voila touch id work again, able to add fingerprint, unlock the phone work again, disconnect the phone from computer, touch id not working at all

so everytime the iphone is charging, touch id work again

i think nid to wait untill the next ios update will work normally my iphone5s touch id wont scan at all =( dam sad now!

Having the exact same problem as sennfoo.. Touch ID only works while the phone is connected to the computer

Same problem can't use Touch ID after upgrade 7.1. :(
