IOS 7.1 iphone 4S wifi not available .. help..

i am also having same problem after update to IOS 7.1.1. after update my wifi disabled and wifi ikon in control centre greyed. contacted apple service center is seoul. they said i have to pay $200 dollar to replace my phone. that means i have to pay 200$ for iOS upgrade? ***? i am totally disappointed with this apple. i am using apple iphone 4S and ipad 4. if apple didnt fix this issue, then they will loose one apple customer. i thought of change my iphone to new upcoming model. but now apple make me to think again to go for it or change to other brands......apple will loose so many customers for this issue...

This happened to my wifi and bluetooth too. I posted about it but it was deleted last night by the mods. This is a problem that is happening all across the board with 4S phones but Apple is keeping their heads in the sand and not even acknowledging it. The Verion rep I talked to told me he is seeing this happen to a lot of his customers too. So now I've had my phone for 14 months, not eligible for an upgrade, and pretty much stuck with a junk phone thats sucking my data plan dry and no bluetooth. The Apple Care guy at a store I visited said, "Well that's technology." I was so disgusted. FIX OUR PHONES APPLE!!!! This is so ridiculous.

I also had the same problem. I inactivated the "find my iphone"-functionality under the privacy menu and rebooted the phone. The wifi was back.

MarxOnTrax, if this turnes out to be the solution, Apple will have to acknowledge it is all their fault and pay back the €200,- they received from all the people that swapped their phones!

Curious to see if anyone can confirm.

So many people with this issue and Apple doesn't do anything to help us!!!! Dispoiting!!!

Putting the device on the refrigerator for 30 minutes and after restart it, wifi works again, but after a while it happens again ... I did it twice ... So. APPLE SUPPORT most check that problem

I'm also experiencing this problem, since the first week of April. I already tried the hair dryer method but i'm not able to get the temp warning message so until now, i still can't fix the wifi issue of my 4S. 😟

Also: hairbowing for about 10 minutes into the top of your phone (from 10" distance of course) while keeping the phone busy should not be that hard. The message should popup eventually. After that shut it down (mind you, it's hot) and lay it aside for 30 minutes to cool down (don't charge it while resting).

The deactivation of "Find my iPhone" and rebooting did not work.

And I am not able to get the temp warning message even if I've been blowing hot air to the phone for about 15 minutes.

anyone know when the new update will be out? I'll just wait it out...

Eu já tentei tudo que a apple manda fazer para resolver o problema, por último tentei forçar o super aquecimento do celular, fiz tudo o processo correto, mas a wi-fi não voltou a funcionar.

Minha última tentativa é restaurar o iphone...

Estou extremamente desapontado com a apple...

Eu pelo menos ja tentei restaurar, nao deu certo tmb! Talvez, vamos ver se eles lancam alguma atualizacao para o IOS q possa resolver este problema....pq eu ja tentei de tudo loja da Apple, chat, canal de reclamacoes, esta comunidade ate carta para eles eu mandei e ate agora ninguem para dar ao menos uma resposta!!! Ta dificil!!!
