Have a phone call often from No Caller ID , is there a way to block this caller?
The question is to stop no caller ID not other contacts that are not saved. I don't mind receiving calls with numbers showing it's NO CALLER ID as stated above in the original question.
Has anyone found a way???? HELP x
Absolutely Apple should do this.
Apple either protects the customers paying $1,000 for an iPhone or protects the scammers there is no middle ground.
This must be a 5 second fix. Make a contact name No Caller ID and then block it. Simple, easy. I always had a few calls a month in the past now I am getting them every day. For the phone companies the customer doesn't come first. There is no reason for Apple not to take this step. I don't see why an app developer can't figure this out but absolutely no doubt this is a 5 second fix for apple to do. The response I see listed to just block all calls in the contact list is idiotic. I use my phone for business. I don't want to block everyone not in the contact list I just want to block everyone that comes up as No Caller ID or Unknown Caller. PS The Apple recommendation of just setting up a contact No Caller ID and giving them the phone number 000-000-000 absolutely does not work at all.
So how do we get Apple to listen and take action!!!
If you don't use your phone for business this might be a good solution. Are you saying Apple does not want business people to use their phone that business people should go Android. This is a deal breaker for me. Apple solves this problem or I go to Android for my next phone.
Yes because Apple needs to see this is an issue and it should be solved. Isn't part of the reason for the forum is for complaints to be voiced and if they represent a real issue for Apple to listen and solve. If people stop complaining will Apple solve the problem. If you don't think we should bring the issue up on this Forum then where do you recommend we go to get someone at Apple to listen. I would like to see 1,000,000 Apple users flood and overload this Forum and maybe someone will listen, they sure haven't been for the past decade.
No, I don't know it for a fact, but, as this has been requested for the past 4 years in this thread alone (of many) and Apple has not provided it, I think that's a pretty good indication of their intentions.
If you read all of the thread you will find a number of reasons why blocking "no caller ID" calls may be a bad idea from the user's perspective. There's also a reason from Apple's perspective: It is illegal to mass block political calls and calls from charities. As, by definition, calls without caller ID could be from anyone, blocking them could block these calls that are illegal to block. Providing a way to block them could put Apple at risk for breaking the law or being sued. And there are lots of politicians who would take any excuse to sue Apple.
My problem is when I put my iPhone in do not disturb with only my favorites can make my phone ring and wake me up No Caller Id goes right through do not disturb it would be nice to block but Do not disturb should stop that I put my phone in do not disturb so I don’t have to turn it off because I get calls from my favorites witch are family members emergency calls instead of putting so much effort into putting 2-3 different phones out a year put some into this major flaw when I had a land line 20 years ago that was set up to not allow calls from callers who do not allow delivery of there phone number and the $650 phone/computer can’t do t
This user-to-user forum, where Apple doesn’t participate, isn’t a useful place to ask for anything. The right place is https://Apple.com/feedback.
I also suggest reading the thread you posted to, which has a lot of info, some useful, on this issue.
I did the instructions of do not disturb then choosing only my contacts to be able to call but the "No Caller ID" and Unknown" with no phone numbers still came through. I even went through my contact list and deleted all of the unknown callers...but somehow they still got through. I had one FaceTime me...
What would you recommend I do at this point? I think I know who this person is...an ex boyfriend who used it when we were dating....but I have deleted him as well.. still get the calls.

Did you bother to read this thread before posting in it? No, I didn't think so. Please go back and do so. Your question will be answered.
Everything is simple for ther person who doesn’t have to do it.
To quote General and President Eisenhower (whose family were farmers):
”Farming is simple - if your plow is a pencil and you are 1,000 miles from a cornfield.”

there is a feature on land line
why so difficult to do on a 1200 dollar phone
I realize this might be difficult to understand. But, landlines and cell phones use different technologies to work.
So buy a $60 Android phone if that is a very important feature to you. Have you thought about the fact that perhaps Apple intentionally does not offer this feature? I can think of several valid reasons for not providing it, but I'm not going to post them because that would be speculation about Apple's policies, which is not permitted under TOU. If you're interested you can probably think of some also.
I can't think about such a reason because there is no single one. You're just making up excuses for Apple.
And don't worry about me, you can be reassured that if Apple fail to deliver what I need as a customer, I'll try a different brand without the slightest distress.
Got my first “NO Caller ID” today. Yes, I know it is impossible to block them but for selecting “Decline” or double-clicking the side button. But your periodic responses on the order of “Start by reading the other posts in the thread you just posted to” are not particularly of interest. Might I humbly suggest: en boca cerrada no entran moscas.

That's also known and adds nothing new to the thread.
What secrets do you think Lawrence is giving away and to which enemy?
Keep in mind that the numbers are not actually blocked. The rings are silenced. You will still have a record of these calls just in case one was valid. Also, the callers can leave messages (but the scammers rarely do).
