My Retina Display has stain damage, HELP!!!

just fyi, took my mid-2014 macbook pro (bought in 2015 with apple care) to the genius bar at local apple store and they took it for warranty repair without question. i was very pleasantly surprised, as i have had difficulties in the past with apple repairing things with apple care. they had to send it out for repair, 3-5 days, then it will be shipped back to my house. overall happy with the experience.

Same problem happened to me but it didn't when I was using other Window's Pc. LOL...
First time change to apple as I think it is a really good and cool computer. But it ended up this way. Quite frustrating to be honest and sadly there isn't any good solution provided by Apple.

Hello. Got the same problem and conditions. Where can I take it for repair in Mexico (Puebla, ZC 72000)? Any dealer will do (e.g. Macstore, iShop)? Or only at the Apple Store?

I took my 2015 12inch rMacBook to an authorized service and they agreed to replace the stained display for free.

my started in the same place and i tried to clean with a micro cloth and it got worse, sad we cant even clean are screen let alone just put into closing place without getting ruined

Were you using one of those keyboard protectors? Because mine would leave marks on my screen. However, on mine it was not permanent... with a little applied pressure with a soft cleaning cloth my oil from my keyboard protector came off... There is also the possibility that you have allowed too much pressure on the top of your MacBook Pro in order to allow it to reach the keys.

How much pressure are you putting on your laptop? Are you using the right precautions for the weather? I am just curious, because that seems really odd to me. My MacBook Pro is 5 years old, the only issue I have is that my keyboard has lost the clear coating from the oils in my fingers.

I have just bought the Mid-2015 Macbook Pro 15'', are you sure about that the stain issue hasn't been fully solved by Apple, instead, apple just keep replacing the screens for the customers? It is really sad, I have to take care of frail screen... I am thinking that why did I bought more than $2499 laptop, and I have to be afraid of the AR coating falling off everyday?

Meanwhile, I bought a iPhone 6s plus (in warranty) , the dust keep going from the mute key, and Apple customer service guy told me he can not see them, so he refused to repair it. Apple is no longer the Apple we used to know...

You are smart guy. However, the sad thing is the Mid-2015 MBP also has staingate issues, lol

Have same problem. I went to Apple service center but the staff refuse to change the screen. One staff told me that they cannot change it because the screen change project was expired, but another staff told me they can not change it because I “damaged" the robber around the screen.

I wrote a email to Tim Cook, they didn't bother to reply. Totally disappointed.

Sounds like you damaged the robber around the screen. Tim frowns on that behavior.

Haha, I didn't damag the robber, it was falling apart in the second year. Now there is not much robber left. My friend's MacBook Pro has same rubber issue as mine.
