Push isn't working for my email on iPhone and iPad for aol carrier
Some of us didn't do the new upgrade, however, and are still having the same issue with our AOL accounts. I upgraded my iPad only as a last resort when my mail wouldn't push. I never upgraded my iPhone 4s. I know that a lot of people are having all kinds of problems since the latest upgrade to their phones. AOL says it's Apple's fault and Apple is claiming that it's AOL. I just wish that they can get their acts together and get this resolved. It's a major pain with email not pushing.
This helped! Now I get my AOL pushed to my iPhone 5 and iPad Air every 15 minutes. It's not perfect but it's a big help. Thanks very much!

To be clear, it is getting fetched (by iPhone), not pushed (by AOL).
Yes, you are correct, Chris CA, sorry I was unclear. As I understand it, the iPhone fetches the AOL email every 15 minutes and then pushes it to the notification screen. I used the configuration as explained earlier by Cahawaii50.
Maybe I am being premature, but I think the AOL push is working a little better today..... I am once again hearing a tone on my iPad when an AOL message has arrived. I realize that the iPad has been fetching the messages but for about two weeks the sound that notified me of an incoming message had stopped working totally. Today it is again functioning.
Maybe I should "be quiet" so it will continue! lol
Push restarted for me this afternoon, following a noticeable slow-down on AOL serves earlier today. I'm guessing AOL performed some maintenance on the servers. But yes, the problem had been present on my iPad (iOS 7.1.1) and iPhone4 (last of iOS 6 updates) since late last week.
I believe push has been working again on aol emails just about 2 hrs ago. Hopefully it stays that way.
Switched my settings to push and push. Mail now is being pushed to notification screen without having to be fetched as other people have indicated. Did anyone find out the source of our original problem?
I firmly believe it was an AOL issue. Apple tech worked very hard with me to help in any way he could. Push of email seems to be working again as of yesterday morning. I just wish AOL would admit it and say it had a problem and they addressed it.
Is anyone else having problems again with AOL push on iPhone and iPads as of yesterday 6/4/14? Push is not working again as if yesterday afternoon....
Yes, I'm having the same issue. It must be an aol issue, there haven't been any IOS updates this week.
Aol mail hasn't been pushing since yesterday evening.
My AOL mail has been pushing for me. Haven't noticed a problem. It is 8:00 am in California.
Yep, the problem returned for me yesterday as well.
I've been experiencing this problem with AOL since yesterday (6/4/14) Today it's continued and I have not recieved any of my emails by push. It's very frustrating since my job requires answering emails quickly and promptly when I'm on location. And without the emails being pushed, I never know I've received them until I decide to look myself and it says I received an email 2 hours ago!! and didn't even know!!
I have an iPhone 4S and originally thought the issue was the phone, but upon researching and googling it, I've realized it's simpy an AOL issue.
Anyone found any suggestions yet or been able to solve this problem? Issue still happening June 6, 2014.
