quicken for mac

I know there has been a lot of discussion about this subject...but I am new to Macs. I don't even know how to tell if I have lions, mnt lion, ect. on this mac! I thought it was ios something or other. So as you can see I am a novice and definitely on a learning curve. = )

I am a faithful user of Quicken for Windows and now want to continue using Quicken, but not hearing good things about Essentials at all.

My needs...

I have several accounts that I take care of, besides my own...and within those accounts are the usual, checking, savings, credit card, etc.

So I am trying to figure out my options. I don't even care if I have to start from scratch on my mac, so transfering data from windows to mac is not an issue!
