Match process stalling out at end

I've been using iTunes Match for about a year and a half and have started experiencing a new problem in the last couple of days. I've added a few new tracks to my library over the last couple of days and have attempted to "Update iTunes Match." However, the matching process is stalling out at the end. It looks like it's just about to finish but then it never does. I have downloaded the most up-to-date version of iTunes, I have stopped and restarted the "Update iTunes Match" process numerous times. I have closed and reopened iTunes several times. I have restarted my computer and started over. Etc. Etc. and the same problem keeps occurring. Last night, I let the matching process continue overnight and it still had not finished in the morning. I am at my wit's end at this point. It's only 11 new songs that I'm trying to get iTunes to Match. Does anyone have a suggestion as to how to resolve this problem? Thanks!

This is really getting mysterious. It's still working here in Germany, a few moments ago I added a new album and it matched with the cloud.

But hey Apple - I strongly recommend to inform all of your loyal users and fans around the world about what's really going on, what you're going to do to fix it and please keep us all up to date with the progress you're making.

Unfortunately your current behavior is not corresponding with the values you convey.

100% pathetic.

numerous phone calls from support UK my iTunes put in recovery mode for them to look at for over a week now, and we are into month 2 of it not working.

email to Tim Cook CEO with a reply stating they would prioritise this 10 days ago.

HA HA complete and utter waste of time and money as has worked for two full days since subscription

At least you got a reply!! :-).

... I've had regular replies from iTunes support saying it's working... no it isn't... yes it is... etc... but it's still broken.

It did briefly update most of my music, but then since then it's refused to update anything at all.

They clearly know it's broken (despite the status page reporting it's all good...) but clearly haven't a clue how to fix it.

It's been almost a month now... totally ridiculously poor service and if there was a decent alternative I'd be already there.

Maybe the problem's not solved yet. Have to say the matching process is working every second try or in other words: When I add a new album I I force the store to be updated but the process won't come to an end. Then I cancel the update phase and start it anew - voila with success.

That's boring I feel like a beta tester. Never thought that Apple provides us banana-software that matures in the hands of the user.

I got an email from iTunes Support suggesting I try a whole load of different things, including switching Genius off/on again, switching iTunes Match off/on again, creating new libraries etc.

I told them that until I hear definitve reports that the service is working again as it should do, i.e. without having to faff around with extraneous measures to enable it to work, I am just not going to use it.

Duskycyclist, iTunes 11.3 made it worse, at least for me.Match a

Before 11.3 Match has only given me grief on my two notebooks where it's enabled. only running wihtout an error message and the necessity to deactovate and reactivate after every reboot if I run iTunes "as administrator".This started happening several months ago.

Now it also hangs on my "master" PC where the main iTunes library lives, either hanging on "sendiing Information to Apple" or "Waiting for Apple to send Information" on its regular updates and it hangs there pretty much indefinitely. Pretty lousy for a service that is all but free.
