I was listening to a podcast then left the podcast app. After returning to the app to listen to another podcast, the app opens the closes immediately.
Me too. Tried closing the app, rebooting the phone, deleting and redownloading the app - still no joy.

This also just happened to me, thought I was going nuts. I uninstalled it, re-installed it, reset my iphone, and did the latest update. Maybe there is an issue at the Apple Mothership?
Happening to me too. iPhone5s. It was working this morning, but now I opened it and it crashes immediately. I tried deleting the app, restarting my phone, downloading it again and it still crashes.
If I put the phone in airplane mode it doesn't crash. It appears to be having a problem getting/parsing the data.
Just started happening to me a few minutes ago as well. Rebooted the phone. Deleted and reinstalled the app. Still crashing.

Same thing. Tried everything others have mentioned.
Same problem here. I was in the middle of a show and the app crashed. Kept crashing each time I tried to go back and listen. Did the ole uninstall and re-install and the shows I listen to all showed up AND then the app crashed again.
Update 6/26/14 @ 4:17 PM EST: Seems that if you put the phone in Airplane mode this fixes the issue (if this can be called a fix). So I'm guessing that the issue is something to do with the WiFi/Cellular connection to the App.

i Just tried putting in airplane mode for a minute and seems to have cured the problem when I return to my normal settings. Luck maybe!
Same here. It worked fine this morning, then suddenly it started crashing left and right. Switching to Airplane Mode has temporarily fixed the issue, but clearly something is happening on the other end of the pipe.
Anyone know if there was an podcast app update today? If not maybe something is down with a server causing the issue.
I have the same issue...tried airplane mode but i need wi fi...didnt crash though...
Confirmed that putting into airplane mode will stop it from crashing. Problem is then I no longer have a phone.
