Unknown Error 1417

I just updated to the latest version of iTunes and it said i needed to update my iPod to the latest version in order to place my recent iTunes purchases to my iPod. I keep getting "unknown error 1417" and the update won't complete. Does anyone have a clue?

It worked!! Autoplay off, and Menu/Select, just at the install began, when the menu came back up on the iPod. Thank you!
