still isnt working. it just collapses. sometimes when I select swype, there is just a gray box where the keyboard should be
I suggest you ask the developers of the keyboard for assistance.
i would write a review, but of course, my keyboard sometimes just straight up doesnt work. so i cant do that. where should i take it up with them?
In iTunes you can select Developer Website to ask for support.
Did you follow the instructions and allow full access to the keyboard in the SwiftKey settings?
This is not just with SwiftKey. This also happens with Swype and KuwaiBoard. I followed instructions, rebooted the device and even hard reset the device. This happens on both my iPhone 5S and 5C. Deleting the keyboard in settings does solve the issue and brings the regular keyboard back but does not allow you to use the third party keyboards you may have spent money on. From what I have heard from others, sometimes there is just a delay for the keyboard to come up. I'll leave it my night stand tonight and see if it comes up by tomorrow morning. : ]
I'm having the same problem with Swype. Also sometimes it reverts to the iOS keyboard and I have to manually switch back to Swype as the keyboard. It seems to still have bugs in it. I love Swype, but this isn't cool.
I'm not having the collapsing issue. I suggest removing and reinstalling.
My issue is with the Globe button not going to Emoji but also reverting to the iOS keyboard.
There should be a way to turn off standard keyboard so this doesn't happen.
II'm having exactly the same problem, any luck with the developers?
iPhone 5S & iPad 2 Both iOS 8
Not so far Niall.
Seems to me that it is an issue that could have been easily spotted and rectified during development and testing.
You couldn't miss it!!!!
I totally agree!!! I've waited so long for this and have contacted many people about getting the swype key board for years and to see this happen after suck fan fair is unreal!!!
I cannot believe that a company like Nuance would drop the ball like this?!

Emailed them already!
Go to Settings - General - Accessibility
Towards the bottom you'll see a setting for Guided Access. Set this to Off. Your third-party keyboards should now work as expected.
This worked for me. Awesome, thanks!
This fixed the problem for me. No issues with Swype, or the keyboard defaulting back to anything but the most recently used keyboard. Thank you!
