Spineguru, How did you register your complaint. I tried to do the same but could find no avenue for complaints. Apple.com would not even allow me to contact Support to discuss my iPad 2 without my paying a service fee.

b10doc, this is the link I used... No idea what sort of black hole this goes into....
This stupid situation is happen to ipad 2 only.. So.. Finally.. They want me to buy latest ver. of ipad ?
Guys, I think I was able to get this problem solved with AT&T's help. FWIW I used their chat instead of a call. First, we reset the Network Settings (Settings/General/Reset/Reset Network Settings). After it restarted my iPad 2 would still not connect to the internet although I did begin receiving emails and texts. I shut my iPad 2 off and the AT&T rep said in the chat that she was sending "signals" to my iPad 2. After I turned it on she had me open Safari and connect to www.att.com.ttr. This is a mobile test page for AT&T. It took longer than usual to connect but it did. I have been able to connect since that point - even after my iPad goes to sleep.
Hope this helps.
Alot of our customers are also complaining about this issue. I advice all ipad 2 users to stay on ios7 or downgrade.
If u dont know how contact me http://www.herbiecomputerservice.nl
Same here here in NZ; iPad 2
constantly drops data- cellular connection & works temporarily on reset. It's pretty poor product due diligence on apple's part- I use this thing almost entirely on mobile data for my job managing a furniture removals firm & the delays are costing me. **** poor Apple, FIX IT PLEASE!
I Did the same with AT&T, it lasted a day, then NO SERVICE. lets see how long it lasts.
Yep, same problem here. Keep on loosing my cellular signal on my iPad 2 and the only way tomget it back is to reboot the device( which now takes twice the time it used to). Apple should really be ashamed of themselves.
Same here. "No service" after a little time.
I have to restart my iPad several times a day.
Shame on you, Apple...
So, looks like the only thing so far the I have tried is what another user suggested and not let the cover magnets engage the sleep mode. I've had my ipad2 running all day, going to sleep via timer or by hitting the power button. I can close the cover after putting it to sleep and it wakes fine and wifi and cellular work. So far this has kept it working the longest.
Fingers crossed.
Mine is still fine after 3 days using the cover off technique I mentioned earlier. I use a rubber band to keep the last segment of the cover away from the face. First time I have used a real rubber band to fix a software bug!
We need to let Apple know there is a problem on our iPad 2 after upgrading. There is no way we can get their support without paying so what i did is i went to their feedback instead and raise the problem. I suppose if more people do that it will captured their attention. I have seen many of us having problem but i do not see any Apple rep putting in any suggestive comment or at least telling us Apple is aware. The product is good until there is a problem and this is how they handle.😠
So let's spend 10 mins to raise the problem.
Definitely broken - goes to no service several times a day.
Yup, mine has continued to stay working since I've not used the magnetic cover to put it to sleep. I can use the cover, but i have to either let the timer kick in and it go to sleep or use the button first. As long as the magnets aren't used to trigger the sleep function.
Two days now and working longer than it has since upgrading to ios8.
I didn't use the magnetic cover this morning and i loosed the service anyway. 😟
Because i have a developer account i reported this bug at https://bugreport.apple.com/ .
