iPad 2 very slow since ios8

Anyone had a problem with excessively slow iPad 2 since updating to iOS 8?

Thanks for your help.

My ipad2 was unusable after the update, slow wifi, slow apps, slow everything. Plus within apps some things were broken or barely working. I couldn't deal and went through the trouble of downloading the 7.1.2 file and reinstalling it. After a lot of time I have a working ipad again and will NOT be updating to 8 until enough people have tried it and it actually works. This was beyond disappointing, its absolutely amazing how badly apple screwed up this software.

Too late to downgrade so I'm joining the log queue of disgruntled iPad ios8 upgraders. I have 3 iPad 2's, two of which are used by my kids. Even they are complaining of the slooooow performance. I was reading that Apple were unhappy that people didn't replace their iPads as often as they had thought. Very smart move on Apple's part because many iPad users will now have to replace their iPad 2. It is obvious this was their plan because any testing would have shown ios8 wasn't meant for the iPad2. The iPad 2 should not have been included in the upgrades and they should start signing ios7 so we can downgrade and get our iPad 2's working again.

I'm giving it a week to see what happens and if nothing then I am switching to Samsung Tab 4. Apples old slogan "Think Different" is now "Think how you can rip people off in as many ways possible".

So the down grade window's closed now? Glad I did it already and doubly glad I didn't re-download the update. I know from this and other threads that people still aren't fully happy with the .2 update. I understand it's an "improvement" over the original and the .1 versions but still, something being "just ok" isn't ok with me. If apple products cost the same as alternatives that would be one thing, but IMO the draw of apple is trouble free software. When it stops being trouble free I don't see the cost as being fair at all.

"Updated" to 8.0.2 after waiting for bugs to be worked out -- ipad now unusable. Crashes, mail function freezes when trying to type, crashes and quits.

Is it impossible to uninstall? I keep looking for ways to go back, but can't find. If it's impossible, let me kknow -- I'll stop wasting my time, and will wait, painfully, for Apple to make good...???

I updated to 8.0.2 on IPad 2 & now can't connect to WiFi? Since I can't go back to the old operating system, what is Apple going to do to make good on my system? On the Itunes Store it says I'm up-to-date so I guess I'll need to wait until they fix the issue with another update? Hopefully? It is useless to me now. If this isn't corrected soon I will not be buying another Apple product in the future.
