ive had this problem for a white now, for me IT was more like a windy-sound all the time.... And got sick of IT actually i was on my way to get it fixed.... Then i stumbled on an old friend who have had the same problem... And told me what he did to fix it.

I used a toothpick and turned it around in Circles inside the egdes of the hole, the i used My lungs to suck whatever it was blocking the sound out from there.... After that both videorecording and skypevideocalls + FaceTime Callas starten spelning for me.

Dear Apple support,

I bought Iphone6 from Grand Britain (Sim free version) but I had issued problem of microphone. During the phone call, other side people can not hear my sound clearly (too small sound) but when I turn on speaker it is OK. I checked all thing (recording, video, cover,...) it no problem.

I used iPhone many years but I disappoint with this time.

Please let me know how do I do?

This problem is solved by going to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings

This won't delete anything from your phone but you will have to go back and adjust you settings to the way you like it. The speaker issue will be solved though. Apple walked me through the process just a few minutes ago. Please let me know if this solves the issue!

SO I went to Apple store here in Dubai in Mall of the Emirates and they found that my front mic doesnt work(iPhone 6 has 3 mics fyi!) and since my phone is out of warranty they asked for around 100$ to fix it. What a shame.

BY the way it is a hardware issue and resetting system didn't help.

I Live now without Siri and with some videos recorded with no sound thank you Apple!

I am an iPhone 6 Plus user and recently I have been having a microphone issue when recoding videos using the back camera of the "Camera" app.

When I record using the back camera the audio is muffled but when I use the back camera with a different app like Snapchat of Facetime, the audio is perfect. I have no problems with the microphone using the front camera when recording a video in all apps including "Camera." I've tried using Siri and it seems to be working fine too. I've also recorded my voice using Voice Memo and it's fine as well.

The audio only muffles when I record a video using the back camera of the "Camera" app. Help?

There are two small holes for microphone in the iPhone. One is located near to the ports at the bottom of the phone and the other one is located in the backside berween the camera and the flash. Depending on the use, one of them will be working.

1- Make sure that you you have removed the original plastic cover.

2- If you are using any type of covers such as protector frame or plastice cover for changing the coloer of the phone then make sure that nothing is blocking these two holes.

3- Try to clean both of them by small and sharp needle to remove any object.

nothing is wrong with the soft wear.
