I did all of that, problem was it looked great and function for a day, maybe two, then back to square one. If someone gets it to work great but I won't upgrade until everyone gets it to work, I don't need the headaches.
Okay, so when you showed your factory fresh iPad to the Apple Store to show them the problem, what did they say?
Read all the links posted throughout forum.
I was wondering what the Apple support person said about your factory fresh install and whatever problem it was that you showed him, while your iPad was in the state of being "right off the factory floor".
LIke I said, read posts.... The ipad2 worked and functioned fine for a day or two, then back to square one, it's all listed throughout the forum, so I'm not going to repeat what has already been posted. If you have additional questions besides the ones already posted I will be happy to respond to those.
I'm just talking about yours, since you're the one who set it back to the factory fresh condition, without your backup being put back on ... and you showed someone at the Apple Store the problem. I'm wanting to know what that Apple Support person thought about your factory fresh iPad and the problem you showed him.
I got some reports from others at the Apple Store, and so I want to know what your Apple Support person thought and did.
They did a "factory fresh install" the ipad worked for a day or two then failed. the ipad2 was replaced. Is that enough information for you? ipad failed after numerous attempts to fix including "factory fresh install" several days and hours of my time, both ipad2s we have we're replaced after "factory fresh install" had been preformed then failed. We are running both ipad2s on ios7 and they work flawlessly. Seriously, it's all in this forum.
Okay, when they found out it wasn't a software problem with the iOS 8.0.2 ... they replaced the hardware. That's good to know that they will replace the hardware when it is a hardware problem.
Software was the problem.
I thought you got new hardware.
I Do not have software problems anymore. I don't know what answer you are hoping to find apparently I am not telling you what you want to hear so am done responding, good luck with your ipad2.
I have an iPad 2 and an Imac. I had found a temp fix which involved the following:
1) I get "No service"
2) Go to settings
3) go to iCloud
I would do this, and the 3G would back BUT now I've switched to iCloud drive IT NO LONGER WORKS!
Oh Apple....thats it for my iPad.....its a stay at home loser now...
Since installing OS8.1, I have not lost cell service. See if it stays that way. Downside is it seems my iPad2 is slower than ever now.
We're tracking it over on this thread, if you want to let them know ...
iPad 2 slower than ever after iOS 8.1; it keeps on loosing cell service; meanwhile I experienced troubles with emails, keyboard and copy&paste.
Watching to Galaxy Tab S right now: as a matter of fact my iPad 2 is now useless...
