Just updated IPad 2 to IOS8 and now have no 3G service have WIFI but not 3G Says No Service at top

...well that made me check my iPad again (I've been at home all day, and not needed it) No signal AGAIN! It's clearly not a lasting fix...I've jyst conencted it to my iMac and its back, but I think a call to apple support is needed!

...and I've just called them. "Restore as new ipad" was the best they can offer, so I'll give that a try and let you all know!

Same problem here. Hard reset was a temp fix. Connecting to iTunes again was a temp fix. Restoring as new iPad is a TEMP FIX. Can't help thinking that someone at Apple needs to wake up and address this issue!

As long as you're backed up a restore will put things back the way they were - but that's a long and boring job to do once a day!

I have the same problem, iOs 8 on iPad 2, after update no 3g at all.

Hard reset failed. Upgrade iTunes on both Mac and Win, failed.

Why has Apple released such a load of horse crap? Thought they were not supposed to be this kind of oompany.

Worse there is no way back to iOS 7, we are totaly hosed.

I Wish my ipad2 says no signal.... I get searching for my Verizon 3G , it's been that way since the download of ios8 any ideas?

I Even did a factory reset grrrrrrr

hi, I have this problems too, no service. I tried reset, hard reset. Temporary solution Only. Since this is a network issue, so I tried reset network by going to settings. So far so good. Give it a try. I believe apple will resolve this issue soon maybe iOS 8.0.1 to fixs some bugs.

Same problem for me. Resetting network preferences just work until I make my iPad 2 sleep. Incredible that Apple may release a new iOS without testing it properly on devices they declare compatible. I hope they are fixing quickly this issue which makes my iPad look like a useless brick. Please Apple, if you just hear us, save us.

I have an ipad 2 as well, wth Verizon, I have tried all the above, and my iPad is still stuck on "Searching". Is there a fix for this apple? This is not a resolved thread.
