Can't sync music anymore with iOS 8. All disappeared.

Okay, I just updated my iPhone 4s to iOS 8 two days ago. Today, I wanted to put more music from my iTunes in my PC. Note that my iTunes in PC is recently updated. When I started syncing my new music, it won't work. When I start playing a song in my phone, won't work too. Almost all disappeared. From having 664 songs, I have 16 left. Please help. I want my music back.

OI don't think you are erasing it by playing it. It seems to be getting erased when you synced. It only appears to be on your device. Were the songs you are trying to play and a re failing, items you bought from iTunes, or something you loaded from CD or another site? I just did a quick scan through about the first 100 songs in my iPhone and every one that I downloaded from CD or bought off a service beside iTunes are not playing. The iTunes purchases seem fine. Is anyone else seeing a correlation?

Yes, everything though Apple is working fine. But everything I put on myself has a red circle.

Yeah, it seems like every time you are going to want to add new music, you're going to have to get rid of everything and re-sync every time, until Apple comes up with a fix. I'm glad it seems to be a big problem and isn't just me. Does anyone know if Apple are aware of this Big yet?

i tried syncing my iPhone 5 in exactly the same way and it was fine (still on ios7)

Same issue...I just about exhausted all options and then:

in Summary, go to Options, select/check Manually manage music and videos.

alike me & everyone else, we all have our playlists set and checked already, if you added new music, well then just sekect the check box on the Artist or Album, chances are if its more of the same which you listen Tomo then you'll likely have them checked already!

Now Sync! Hope it works for you and anyone else who reads! IM PRESENTKY WATCHING 3000+ songs syncing to my new iPhone 6

Solved it all with this (my earlier post):

And have you done a second sync?

The primary sync is not where a lot of us have problems. And in my case it appeared that all songs went over. So just watching the number it said were transferring was not actually accurate. They appeared to work fine and after the second or subsequent syncs many of the files stop playing and you don't know there is a problem until you go to play the file. Hopefully that doesn't happen in your case.

I'm having this issue as well, but here's my complication: I try to manually delete the music off the iphone in Settings, and every time I try to click the Music it shuts down settings. I've manually deleted some of the music that's on here, but Music also shuts down after I do this a few times.

The only music remaining for me on here is some (not all) of the music I've purchased on iTunes. It's so strange.

I guess I'm gonna have to do a Backup restore...
