OK. this MAY be easily solved when you understand the "structure" of these forums

You can only post in a "leaf" or "child" forum (depending your preferred metaphor)

this illustrates how "iPhone" is a "limb" or "parent" and you cannot post in it - but can in the "sub-forums" that appear as links

iPhone >

Using iPhone

iPhone Hardware

iPhone in Business and Education

iPhone Accessories

At the end of the New Discussion posting process, you need to make a choice of where to put it

Look what happens when I "Test"

User uploaded file

THEN, look what happens when I type the word "iPhone" = ALL by ITSELF

User uploaded file

SOME forums are BOTH parent AND child - like "Using Apple Support Communities" or "Apple ID"

You have managed to REPLY here, so that is half the battle.

Try your New Question again - if it is LONG, create it in an external editor like TextEdit and copy/paste it into the question BODY to avoid being logged out due to the login TimeOutLength of ±30 minutes.

If it still fails, quit the browser & restart your Mac or iDevice then try again. Take FULL Display screenshot of the screen just BEFORE you experience the issue AND of the resulting Error - 2 screenshots - then post them here

The image will be saved to your Desktop as '.png' file and be named differently according to your OS X version.

Thank you for the clarification. I'm guessing it look like my second screenshot above but why not take a moment to learn screenshots.

Have what you want to show on the screen.

Press and release the home and power buttons at the same time, your iPad will flash. Be sure not to hold the buttons down, just press and rellease.

Write the text of your reply.

Move the cursor down two rows by tapping the return key

Tap the camera icon in the edittor bar above.

Tap choose file.

Tap Photo library..

Tap All photos or Screenshots.

Tap the screenshot you want. The most recent is in the lower right

Tap Insert image.

It's a lot of steps, just do them one at a time and let me know if you need help. I'll add a screenshot. 🙂
