Well, 3 weeks have passed since my last restore and location is still on, I give up. I will turn MC off when my new iPhone arrive, that will be the solution.

My iPhone is in warranty, I went to change it because front camera was not correctly alligned.

I gave up too mate, turned off MC.

Guys i think that 8.1.3 solved the issue!

can others plesee confirm as well because I am still not thinking Of updating. Also I am sure it will give a boost to the battery life.

Just to say I have had the same issue with the MC always on. I tried backups and a clean install but with the same result, always on. However yesterday I changed a setting and it seems to have solved the issue for me..

I went into Privacy setting - contacts - ( in contacts google maps had requested access. This is not actually maps requesting location but that of contacts.) - I turned this off and all well since then.

I didnt do anything to the google map request for location so that still works ..

I Had it dissbled from day one and yet i have the issue.

Just to say I have done the same on all three of our company iphone 6 and it was solved the issue for us. We still get the symbol showing but its on for a matter of seconds.

Hi, no, I don't think google (access to contacts) is the reason of the issue because I didn't allow google to access them but MC is always on. The only app with access to my contacts is whatsapp, so that is not the problem.

I think it seems to be solved just because when you update/restore iOS all the settings get restored as well. I mean, in 8.1.2 you may have location indicator ON, but when you update the locacion indicator moves to OFF itself, to its default. I think thats the reason why you don't see it now.

When you update from 8.1.2 to 8.1.3 settings are the same as you left them. 8.1.3 solved the problem for me which means that indicator is not active all the time but only for 1-2 seconds.

Ok, I understand what you say. I hope it works for me too. Let me tell you that I restored yesterday 8.1.3 with no backup, was a clean installation so I can never tell if it worked for me too (moving from 8.1.2 to 8.1.3).
