I agree that this definitely Apple's responsibility, not ours. But these problems have been reported on multiple sites since mid-September; just how long should we have to wait for them to do publically acknowledge, apologize, and fix?

Then when attempting to paste, below is what was pasted. This is something I copied couple days ago, and is example of another problem many are having. No. You can only park your vehicle in the driveway. ( LAMC Sec. 80.71.3)

in an alley?

No. No one can park in an alley unless you are loading/unloading

I'm jumping in on this, I'm having problems with wifi too. Iphone 6, using ios 8. Just out of the blue, it stops seeing wifi that is available. Tried turning airplane mode on/off, tried turning wifi on/off, etc. The only thing that brings this back is to reboot the device. Have had problems with Ipad mini with cellular, using ios 8, doing same thing. And sometimes, using cellular on ipad mini, it shows signal, is connected, but does not actually do anything (email, messages, etc.) until I reboot the device.

Frankly I'm tired of having these problems like everyone else. Resetting network fixes it short term, but then I lose all my saved wifi settings. Rebooting does the same thing. This doesn't happen all the time, just sometimes. No consistency. No pattern I can figure out. Just losing my faith, but will stay loyal. I'm a fan, I know, and I love all that Apple offers, no doubt. I just feel disappointed to go through these very elementary mistakes/problems when they have limited devices to make compatible with new releases.

Please Apple, make this right and find a way to keep the magic alive. Like others, I'm afraid that since Steve Jobs has passed, so has the magic of Apple.

I would do the "clean system install" using iTunes and DO NOT RESTORE your backup. Then after the new iOS 8.1 is on there from a "clean install" and none of your backup loaded one just yet ... then run it through its paces. And if there are problems in that state, you'll need to open a ticket with Apple Support.

Reset to factory default with your iTunes program. Always make sure you do your backups first. And after you do that you'll also get the NEW revision today with the bug fixes ... iOS 8.1!

You have some good advice here however, shouldn't upgrading to a "re-worked" OS just be a one-and-done deal? That's what Apple isn't getting. People are still having to take extra steps in order to get their device to function properly.I'm already seeing that iOS 8.1 is causing problems and it just came out. Why should I waste my time doing anything? I'll just wait until the next update to come out and see what happens. Apple should just build iOS 9 and go from there. All of this is getting old and if things don't get right soon I'll sell my Apple products and go somewhere else.

With all due respect, those who want to do something should be qualified to do it or face dissapointment. Then they can jump back on this forum looking for the answer(s) to their problem if things don't work out. Why not go to your nearest Apple Store and talk to the so-called "experts"? The "user" meaning most of us should not be trying to fix Apple's problems. Apple employs some of the smartest software and hardware techs in the business. Let them earn their money I say.

I would agree that those who don't have the disposition for this, or who are frustrated or who don't have fun troubleshooting and trying "this and that" or who may not feel like they know enough ... should indeed seek some outside and more expert help, and Apple would be such help. A relative who has experience and is willing would work, too. Maybe a friend, or perhaps a user group (there are a few still around).

BUT for those who stay here and "persist" in working various solutions provided by other users ... they have "self-selected" themselves, in that they are essentially saying (by their actions of being here) that they have the natural disposition to do this and persist, along with the requisite knowledge for working out solutions. Those who have "self-selected" themselves for this, would be who we are speaking to here.
