iOS 8 Exchange Email no longer Pushes

Ever since I upgraded to iOS 8 on my iPhone 5 my exchange email has gone silent. I no longer get emails pushed to my phone (whether on WiFi or LTE). Instead, I have to open up the Mail application and it will then update with new emails.


I have reset the phone and checked the settings. Nothing is different, but exchange emails do not push to my iPhone 5 any longer using iOS 8.


Is there a fix for this, or will this require a new release?

Yes I have this issue myself and at customer sites. Email will push on WIFI for us however just not on Mobile Data.

I have removed the accounts and added again and this appeared to work however I believe it is sporadic as some email updates others don't when on mobile data.

Apple will need to fix this I imagine.

I did find however changing the password does seem to make push work better - password for the exchange account that is.

I've got the same problem after iOS 8 upgrade. But only on one device - another was fine. No network settings reset or account deleting helps.

But after network settings reset when I first connect to network some security warning about SSL certificate for Exchange server appears. Due to that I found that in my Exchange account settings I'm using different server name than which is in certificate (we have 2 domain names for the same Exchange server).

When I changed server name in mail account for the same like in SSL certificate of Exchange server then everything starts work perfectly. Looks like apple increased security control in iOS 8.

I thought about trying to restore from backup, but it says that find my iphone must be turned off. Well you have to input your icloud password which it comes back that it is incorrect and the verification failed. The password is correct because it is the same one I used to log in here to post this message. Also, I can't do a hard reset because of the sleep/wake button issue.
