iPhone 6 Plus Keeps Crashing PLEASE HELP!

I am a huge Apple fan, so I ask this question wishing and hoping my iPhone 6 Plus would just perform the way I know it should be.

Since restoring from my old iPhone 5S backup onto my 6 Plus 128GB (AT&T) running iOS 8.0, my 6 Plus is laggy (animations are very slow and stutter), freezy (after hitting "done" it often freezes for a good five seconds before registering the click), buggy (the keyboard sometimes doesn't appear at all, the "halos" around the folders on the home screen sometimes appear and sometimes don't, seems totally arbitrary), and crashy (whenever doing certain tasks like fast app switching, trying to change wallpaper, and others, the phone crashes, turns off the radios, then shows the Apple screen before rebooting). The crashing is happening once every five to ten minutes, making the phone VERY FRUSTRATING TO USE.

I have tried manually restarting the phone, HOME + SLEEP reset to the Apple screen, and restoring again...My next step is a factory reset and manual reinstallation of all my apps again, which is making me sick just thinking about it...

All of these things scream SOFTWARE to me, but what do I know...is anyone else experiencing these issues on the 6 Plus? Should I just be waiting for an OS update, or did I just get a lemon phone? As I said, I love Apple, and this is not a post to flame (so please save your "Go buy an Android" for someone who cares). I just want my shiny new phone to work!!! Any help is appreciated.

Just like Apple did not acknowledge bendgate..exchangegate..antennagat..etc.

The apple execs will not pass info "that we are working on the issue" to 7.00 an hour high school kids..same corporate jumbo answer.."we are investing the claims made by a few"

Google "iPhone 6 plus reboot" and every major blog and news site has it mentioned. Apple is more than aware.. But just like in the past an 8.1.1 update will be released and quietly fix the issue. Feel free to rant and threaten to move to other OS devices because we all know you're not going anywhere..

Apple are simply being arrogant now and hoping that this complaint will be forgotten about.

Keep publicising it on other sites etc, and given enough bad press, Apple will have to respond.

Apple know full well that there is a problem, and I am certain they know the cause in detail. Whether they have worked out a solution or not yet is another matter. But we need to keep their attention on this unacceptable issue.

Those saying "Apple are a good company"..... I simply have no words to describe your naivety. Apple are a business that tries to maximise its profits - same as any other company. The problem is they are presently rather arrogant, and you know what.....pride comes before a fall.

Finally, Apple tacitly acknowledged the issue today.

The iOS engineers have advised me that the workaround is to reduce my Apps count to below 700. They did not give any further information, or confirm that they will implement a fix in a later iOS.

The answer therefore is to keep up the pressure on Apple:

1/ Keep reporting and escalating the issue to Apple Support

2/ Send them crash logs, when requested

3/ Keep swapping your devices for replacement ones (stay in warranty, and hit Apple's bottom line)

4/ Write about the problem on other sites you use.

Put me in the boat of 128GB owner whose Messages app crashes probably 50+ times a day

I send/receive a fair amount of messages (10,000 or so a month, give or take some months - stupid group chats...) and deleting/restoring without any of the backup is about as far from ideal as possible.

I have

-closed the app

-reset all settings

-restore from iCloud backup

-restored from iTunes backup

-got a new phone and restored from iCloud

and am still having the crashing issue. It is probably 75% of the times I open the app.. it will at least freeze for 5+ seconds

Any help that is something other than deleting all text messages would be most appreciated

I just received my iPhone 6+ and had it randomly restart about 4 times today (the day I received it). I have 117 apps installed. I am getting the phone replaced because I called Apple and complained, but about another issue (dust behind the screen).

Phone Capacity: 114GB

Available: 84.8GB

Version: 8.1 (12B411)

Model: MGAE2X/A

Applications: 117

Disappointing.

My iPhone 5 has been rock solid. I did restore from backup. How do I check the crash logs?

I’ve had my 128gb iPhone 6 Plus since 29 September and have had crashes daily which I thought were just teething problems that would be sorted out via a software update. What I’m reading now suggests however that they won’t as it is a hardware fault.

I have 94 apps installed and plenty of space free so it’s nothing to with that; the crashes mainly occur when I use the zoom facility (I’m visually impaired) when I use the swipe keyboard ‘Swiftkey’, and when I tilt from portrait to landscape view in Safari or indeed anything. Often the keyboard disappears completely requiring a reboot to enable me to send a text message.

This is all similar behaviour to what I used to get when I briefly switched to a Samsung Galaxy S4 last year, and again I had thought it was just a glitch that would be sorted out over the coming months – allow third party keyboards to work and expect issues for a week or two...

I ditched the Samsung for a 64 gig iPhone 5S which my wife now owns. This phone has, to my knowledge, never crashed under either my or her ownership.

What should I do to resolve this? Can I just roll up to the Apple Store with phone in hand and get it replaced? I’m going to Australia for a month at the end of November and it would be nice to think I have a reliable iPhone with me...

I have an iPhone 6 Plus with 128GB of RAM. Fewer than 200 apps. Some of them repeatedly just crash and the device goes back to the home screen. I had no idea why but just read about (slower) TLC NAND being used in the 128GB iPhone 6 Plus models. I read that Apple will build future iPhones with (faster) MLC or SLC NAND. How do I get a replacement for this phone? Seems wrong that it is not being recalled. Apple please help.
