iPhone 6 Plus Keeps Crashing PLEASE HELP!

I am a huge Apple fan, so I ask this question wishing and hoping my iPhone 6 Plus would just perform the way I know it should be.

Since restoring from my old iPhone 5S backup onto my 6 Plus 128GB (AT&T) running iOS 8.0, my 6 Plus is laggy (animations are very slow and stutter), freezy (after hitting "done" it often freezes for a good five seconds before registering the click), buggy (the keyboard sometimes doesn't appear at all, the "halos" around the folders on the home screen sometimes appear and sometimes don't, seems totally arbitrary), and crashy (whenever doing certain tasks like fast app switching, trying to change wallpaper, and others, the phone crashes, turns off the radios, then shows the Apple screen before rebooting). The crashing is happening once every five to ten minutes, making the phone VERY FRUSTRATING TO USE.

I have tried manually restarting the phone, HOME + SLEEP reset to the Apple screen, and restoring again...My next step is a factory reset and manual reinstallation of all my apps again, which is making me sick just thinking about it...

All of these things scream SOFTWARE to me, but what do I know...is anyone else experiencing these issues on the 6 Plus? Should I just be waiting for an OS update, or did I just get a lemon phone? As I said, I love Apple, and this is not a post to flame (so please save your "Go buy an Android" for someone who cares). I just want my shiny new phone to work!!! Any help is appreciated.

Went the apple support route as suggested. Used the chat system and within 2 minutes support was on line and helpful. Highly recommended! They ran remote diags, found that springboard, backboard, safari an newsify had been crashing due to running out of memory. Not clear what's causes that though. Had me do a backup and now doing a full restore. Also said if this doesn't work to do a fresh install of the phone but that would be a giant hassle so hoping not to go there...

Same issues. I have a 6 Plus 128GB.

947 Apps Installed

Booting 2-5 Times a day… switching apps …unlock ….

Reboots hangs 3 times

Restored it 5 Times from my iPhone 4S Backup (iTunes and ICloud)

Until this isn´t solved it will not be my daily phone

…so long my 4S running IOS 6 makes a great job ; )

Can we get an Message when its solved?

It is starting to drive me crazy. I still have Bluetooth problems and many other. I hope Apple can get it together as this is very un-Apple. 8.01 and 8.02 were horrible and I was hoping 8.1 would do it, but I was wrong. Sadly...I am even thinking of going to an Android phone as I have to run a business though it will be a two week learning curve, it will be a phone that works.

My iPhone 5 was crashing and rebooting like you've described. When I got my iPhone 6 Plus 128gb, I loaded my iPhone 5 backup, and had the same issues on the iPhone 6 Plus.

So I restored the iPhone 6 Plus to to new and began loading apps manually. However, I did not load the hundreds of apps I had on the iPhone 5, but only the ones I use very regularly. I have about 3 pages of apps. The phone runs flawlessly, no reboots, no lag, etc.

Let's be realistic, nobody use hundreds of apps on a regular basis. They're always available in the cloud. So if I need something that's not on the phone, I know where to find it.

LL600, I haven't had any problems on my iPhone 4S 64GB or my iPad Air 128GB which are both running iOS 8.2. I pre-ordered the iPhone 6 Plus about 4 am September 12th but have been stuck in the queue at the same position for more than three weeks after initially moving up in the queue. My local vendor tells me their last shipment of iPhones was two weeks ago. My queue position tells me my model could be either in great demand or currently no longer shipping since I'm on a fairly large carrier in Canada.

if and when I receive the new phone, I'm going to follow your advice. Out of well over three hundred apps, I don't think I need to load more than 10% and as you said, if I need something, I can always get to it individually. Thanks.

Like many of you I have a new iPhone 6 Plus 128gb which repeatedly crashed after restoring from an iPhone 5. It finally hung up in a continual reboot loop and was essentially dead.I had over 1000 Apps on the previous iPhone 5 which transferred to the iPhone 6 Plus. I took the iPhone 6 Plus to the Apple Store, and even after replacing the software and firmware, the Genius could not get the iPhone 6 Plus to function properly. He replaced the iPhone 6 Plus with a new phone. When I took it home and again restored from my iPhone 5 backup, I began having similar problems. However, I did notice one significant problem which might have caused some of my difficulty. I had a custom lock screen on my iPhone 5, which was transferred to my iPhone 6 Plus. Whenever I went into the Settings App and accessed the Wallpaper settings, the iPhone 6 Plus immediately crashed and started to reboot. The custom lock screen appeared OK, but seems to be totally incompatible with the iPhone 6 Plus. I then set up my iPhone 6 Plus as a new phone with the default lock screen and began restoring my Apps. I now have over 700 Apps on the iPhone 6 Plus, and have encountered no problems, other than a few older Apps failing to work properly and sometimes quitting. But I have had no system crashes like previously. Holding my breath on this, but hopefully using the default lock screen and reinstalling all Apps from the App store will work.

have the same problem

Iphone 6 Plus, 128 GB, iOS 8.1 ->more than 700 Apps - Result: Very instabile iOS. If i continued to install more than 700 - The Crashes getting more.. till Never-ending Bootloop. :-( I restored my phone many times - and spend a lot of time - I make a fresh new Reinstall from iOS 8.1 and the apps are all new downloaded from the apps-store (from the phone) - its very frustrated. I have buy a 128gb to have the possibilities to install many apps and put a lot of content. But at this time time - i don't have so much fun with this device. The buggiest Apple-Device i have ever had (customer till 2003). Hope Apple fixes this problem with an Update as soon as possible. Thank You

I am having the same problem here.

128 GB iPhone 6 plus

~1300 Apps installed.

Crash now and then especially between switching apps and locking screen.

One of the time it works best is when I reset my layout and it works for a while. But once I start foldering them, especially when reaching 1000+ apps into 10 folders, it starts to crash.

Based on the console, I keep seeing the following error.

Oct 25 15:31:07 iPhone SpringBoard[52] <Error>: CGImageCreate: invalid image provider: NULL.

Oct 25 15:31:07 iPhone SpringBoard[52] <Error>: CGImageCreate: invalid image provider: NULL.

Oct 25 15:31:07 iPhone SpringBoard[52] <Error>: CGImageCreate: invalid image provider: NULL.

Oct 25 15:31:07 iPhone SpringBoard[52] <Error>: CGImageCreate: invalid image provider: NULL.

Oct 25 15:31:07 iPhone SpringBoard[52] <Error>: CGImageCreate: invalid image provider: NULL.

Oct 25 15:31:07 iPhone SpringBoard[52] <Error>: CGImageCreate: invalid image provider: NULL.

I hope Apple team can help to rectify this ASAP as this amount of apps works on iOS 8 on iPhone 5s and not iPhone 6 plus. If you need crash logs, please contact me. TIA.

BEWARE the IOS 8.2 update! I updated my iphone 6 plus 128gb to IOS 8.2 and it has wrecked it. The update went smoothly and all was well. After a couple of hours I began randomly losing data connection and wifi. When this happens, the iphone settings app just has a blank white screen (ie no settings are viewable). A reboot set everything right, but this started needing done every few hours. Then the reboots began showing a red screen and the iphone started crashing randomly (as well as the data wifi/settings problems). Then it got WORSE and the iphone started turning itself off and refusing to turn on again. I tried reinstalling IOS 8.2; no change. I restored from a backup; no change. I followed the Apple advice and reset my data and network settings; no help at all. I can only assume this is a catastrophic failure brought about by IOS 8.2 as I have not had a moments trouble since I go the phone on day of release. I am taking it into the Apple store tomorrow and am going to demand a replacement as IOS 8.2 has bricked my iphone. At the moment it has switched itself off and won't turn back on at all. Oh, and I only have about 50 apps installed.
