iPhone 6 Plus, LTE reception issues?

Has anyone else been having issues with mobile reception on the iPhone 6 plus?

I work on a 9th floor surrounded by windows, where I used to get full LTE reception on my iPhone 5S, I now only get 2 bars (dots, whatever) on the iPhone 6 Plus with iOS 8. I have restarted, and reset network settings with no improvement.

I'm hoping an iOS 8 update will address this, but I'm not sure I can wait that long, as less ideal reception areas may drop signal and make the phone unusable. I'll wait a week or so and see about a replacement if it's a problem.

UPDATE: a subsequent reset & restart caused the signal to go up to 4 bars for a couple of minutes, but it is now back down to two again. This is very odd.

Enormously frustrating. If I reboot or go into Airplane mode (10 secs) and back out, I recover LTE for some amount of time, but it eventually drops (usually sooner, but sometimes it holds on for a while. And when I say "drops", all reception drops. I use Verizon. Shutting off 'voice' LTE doesn't seem to improve (or hurt) things. I hope this is a software issue and can be addressed soon. My iPhone 4s never had this kind of trouble holding a signal...

I'm having the same issue at work in an office building on the 6th floor and I sit near windows. iPhone 6 plus cycles from 5 signal bars to 1 bar and back. There is not LTE reception, only 3G. Currently I have the phone showing -74 dBm on 3G but I cannot connect to anything (Safari, whatsapp, etc.). The phone works fine everywhere else in the builiding, even in the elevator but just not where I sit. I did not have this issue with my 4S. It was always at full signal strength at my desk.

My iphone6 LTE also stops working a lot. I have to restart my phone to get the LTE to work again. It goes from LTE to 3 to 1x and then no service a lot. We have two other iphone6 in the house and they do the same thing at different times. Also, lost my phone contacts with the last ios8 update had to go back to my Google backup to get them put back on.

Agreed on the LTE issues, but I've also noticed my iPhone 6+ doesn't pick up WiFi anywhere near as well as my iPhone 5. I was able to stream music and video fine at the gym with my 5, but now can't stream either with my 6+. Same exact place where I've been the past year+, and there have been no changes at the gym. Has anyone had any luck getting their phone replaced?

I am experiencing the same issues with my iPhone 6 Plus 128gb on Verizon. Incredibly slow speeds on LTE (1mbps down .02 up), weaker wi-fi signals than my iPhone 4, and constant service fluctuations (no service, LTE/3G/1x coming and going sporadically).

I have been working to solve the issue with Verizon since I activated my account on 1/16/2015. No one on Verizon's end seems to know why the device is running slow. They claim I have impeccable LTE coverage in my area. I had to follow the typical protocol of resetting Network Settings, airplane mode toggle, restarting the phone, restoring the phone (both from back-up and as new iPhone without signing into Apple ID) nothing worked. When Verizon finally sent my claim to their diagnostics team, they tested various devices in my area and the results supposedly came back positive on their end. Now, finally, I am in the process of having my iPhone 6 replaced. I will update my post if I find that it was a device specific issue. Otherwise, I will be forced to cancel my account and return the product as I am within the 14 day return period. My girlfriend's Samsung Galaxy s5 has consistently good speeds on LTE and has been much more reliable. At this point I may just make the hop to Android.

I certainly hope it is a software issue and not a hardware issue. I've enjoyed apple products for a long time but this is absurd. It may also be worth noting that I managed to pull 44mbps down and 20mbps up on LTE at the verizon store. However, I haven't seen those speeds anywhere else. I don't believe this is a carrier issue as many others have reported similar problems across all carriers.

I recently purchased Unlocked Iphone6 16 GB ver from Apple online Store. The model number is: A1586.

My phone not picking LTE signal from ATT network. I contacted Apple regarding this issue and they suggested to contact ATT for technical Support.

I have visited local ATT retails store and they changed the SIM card, but still No LTE signal in my phone.

I have tried all the settings, reset network settings, reset phone but no result.

The phone always picking 4G only. No LTE till date.

The 4G speed is pathetic and it's just: 2.5 Mbps download and 1 Mbps Upload.

Any one else in this community facing similar issue. Please help me with your suggestions and resolutions.

We bought the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus both from Verizon (same date same models) and the 6 gets perfect reception everywhere - the 6 Plus gets no bars and dropped calls all the time. Case on - case off - no difference on the 6 plus. There has to be something wrong with the 6 Plus reception compared to the 6. We even have a Network Booster in our home and the iPhone 6 gets full 5 bars but the 6 Plus gets 2 bars at best.

Headed to local Verizon store but not sure a fix is even known or available.

This is insanely frustrating and I'm glad I'm not the only one experiencing the issue.

I spoke with both Apple and ATT. Got a new sim card, tried restoring my phone both from a backup and from a fresh start, and tried turning off LTE: no improvement whatsoever. I've wasted 3+ days trying to fix this with no luck, friends, family, and coworkers are ticked at me for dodging calls i never received. I've lost quite a lot of app data by restoring from scratch. Even more annoying is I never had a single issue with my 4S.

This is infuriating especially since it seems not a single Apple person has replied to this thread.
