iPhone 6 Plus Volume

I recently purchased an iPhone 6 Plus and I noticed that the volume when on a call is very, very low. I turned the volume all the way up and there is still no improvement. When I had my iPhone 5S, I was able to actually turn down the volume because it was loud. Is anyone else having this problem?

Device: iPhone 6 Plus

Capacity: 128GB

Color: Black/Space Grey

*Phone volume is normal when on a call through Speakerphone or BT connection. Volume level problem is only experienced when using the ear piece.

Just went to the store and got my replacement iPhone 6+, the earpiece in this one is much better than my other one, if you're having earpiece problems, or any other major problems, I suggest you go through a warranty issue with Apple or return it to the store you got it from and get a different one, good luck to you all :-)

I Was having the same issue but what I was doing was keeping the screen protector that came with the phone. I did not peel it off and on removing the entire thing from back to front the issue was fixed. If that doesn't work just call apple suppor. They'll probably tell you to back up your files and restore the phone from settings>General>Reset from the very bottom and rest all settings.

If that doesn't work then visit your local Apple store and they'll issue you a new one.

tthis is where people receive information and change takes place. Someone said that same thing earlier and it was what fixed it for me so I'm testifying of my personal experience which matched someine else's. Mine wasn't covering the receiver I clipped that part off and kept the back and from plastic/screen protector but by removing everything my low volume phone instantly operated the way it should have.

Its clear that this is not your case so follow the next two steps suggested as there was three but u only addressed one.

Unfortunately, I am having the same problem with low volume on my iPhone 6 Plus that everyone on this forum is complaining about. Based on what I am reading this may prove to be a major problem with these phones. Had I known about it before purchasing the 6 Plus, I probably would not have bought it. It is ridiculous. I have never had this problem with any of my previous iPhones and now I am not sure what to do. From what I have read on this forum nothing seems to really help. Wondering if I will have to go back to a 5 model or simply buy a Samsung or something else. I really can't live with a phone that doesn't have high volume at the earpiece. I have a call in to Apple-Care right now and will see what happens. To be continued....

I have been "reading the mail" on this issue for a while. I have had my 6 Plus for 13 days and notice the first day that the earpiece speaker was low.

I have to have it up full the hear normally with a normal call. But if I am in a noisy area or the caller has low volume then I have no option to turn up.

I and my wife had iPhone 4S units and both had set volume to midpoint or one line up. Had these phones for 3 years and had no concern about volume. Never even gave it a thought.. But the 6Plus volume is noticeably lower.

My wife has a 6 and I had not heard a complaint from her concerning this but when I went to check the volume setting I found it set to max. So wondering if this is also an issue with the 6.... Seems it should be as the speaker and audio chips are supposed to be the same.. In any case today is my last day to give the phones back (I purchased both outright so I have no contract with Verizon).

Verizon level 2 tech service made an appointment for me with the Apple Store "Wunderbar" so will see what happens.

Exactly what happened to me as well. I admit it's stupid, but it's worth mentioning. I read many complains and tried restarting, turning on hearing aids mode, and eventually went with online apple tech support. When reminded of peeliby off the protector I was shocked this could happen to me. We all make mistakes once in a while and feel stupid about them, but that's how we learn.
