Settings app crashes when managing stored Music (iTunes Match)

Since upgrading to iOS8 I haven't been able to see the expandable view you get by heading into Settings > Usage > Manage Storage > Music. As soon as I tap "Music", the settings app crashes.

It's not harware related because it happened on my iPhone 5S and now on my 6.

So far I've tried:

1. Restoring device with iCloud Backup / iTunes Backup

2. Restoring + setting as a new device

3. Restarted phone countless times, closing all the apps in the background, etc

4. Called Apple. The rep just didn't know how to help me.

I've checked on other people's phones with iTunes Match and their phones do not crash like mine. I'm assuming this problem is Apple account related. Any clues?

I bought a 64gb phone to store most of my music using Match, but now I can't manage it. The only hope I have right now is to wait until Apple magically fixes it with an upcoming iOS update.

Unfortunately, 8.1 hasn't fixed it for me. On my iPhone 6, anyway.

On my iPad air, it's fine, but not on the iPhone 6.

I think it has something to do with the nature of the music files, but I'm not sure what.

Apple lossless vs. AAC 256?

Embedded artwork vs. non-embedded?

Compilation albums vs non-compilation?

The answer lies somewhere within.

But it's still a bug...

So I've tried syncing various combinations of music from my iTunes library.

There really doesn't seem to be any discernible pattern whatsoever.

The most perplexing experiment I've done involves syncing two separate albums. Let's call them A and B. The results were:

1) Album A by itself - doesn't crash

2) Album B by itself - doesn't crash

3) Album A & B together - crash

This seems to suggest that there's nothing wrong with the metadata on each album per se, but something about the combination of the two freaks the system out. On the upside, this is 100% reproducible, which helps I guess.
