Remove device from "My Devices" list in iCloud.com "Settings"

Hi,

I have upgraded my iphone and followed everything to disassociate from my account.

I have turned off find my iphone, then erased the phone.

As a result, I can't see the old phone on find my iphone. Great.

BUT... if I go to iCloud.com, in "Settings", I can still see the old phone listed here, and can't do anything to remove it.

Any ideas?

Many thanks!

Rest assured this has nothing to do with your inability to use hand-off or anything else. The problem is that you did not log out of iCloud before wiping the unit.

This is simply a page that shows your current AND previous devises that was logged in to iCloud, and not logged out of your account.

All the new features are done locally via bluetooth and wifi and is not related to iCloud.

As far as fix? Nothing as of now, (talked to a senior rep and she had the same issue) only way this can currently

be done is by logging in to iCloud on the affected device and log out. If you do not have access to the device you are out of luck.

Separate issues I think.

I've still got a 'stale' iPad showing, but handoff was already working between new iPad Air and my existing iPhone 5S.

Handoff is working between iMac + Yosemite and both iOS devices today. Just checked Calls from iMac are working OK, but I've also read somewhere that SMS from the Mac won't be available until iOS 8.1 is available - assumed to be next week.

Edited:

Does 'Handoff' have an on/off slider tick box somewhere in Yosemite? - yes it does under Settings>General, near the bottom of the listed options.

Thank you for the help benoit. it worked on my iPhone 5 but now i have a dilemma, when i first received my 6+ it had a defect with the screen making clicking sound when you pressed against it. I took into the Apple Store where they swapped it out for another and we went through the routine of erasing the old one but not to the extent of how you explained it. So guess what's still showing in iCloud.com? Both 6+ devices. The one I returned and the one i have in my hands. So i hope Apple can come up with a way for us to get rid of the one that's no longer in use.
