Remove device from "My Devices" list in iCloud.com "Settings"

Hi,

I have upgraded my iphone and followed everything to disassociate from my account.

I have turned off find my iphone, then erased the phone.

As a result, I can't see the old phone on find my iphone. Great.

BUT... if I go to iCloud.com, in "Settings", I can still see the old phone listed here, and can't do anything to remove it.

Any ideas?

Many thanks!

I have a similar problem, as I was trying the Public Beta of Yosemite on a external hard drive that is connected to my iMac, while keeping the onboard hard drive with Mavericks intact. In doing so I set it up as a new computer though it's the same iMac with pretty much the same name just added Yosemite in parenthesis to tell apart. Well now that Yosemite is out and I've upgraded from Mavericks, it's keeping the name I setup on the beta but still realizing it as the same computer. I tried signing out of my iCloud (iMac) and saw that it disappeared on the iCloud website 🙂 only for it come back as this name again once I setup iCloud back on the iMac 😟. My thinking was that since I have the correct name I want on my iMac, it will overwrite on the iCloud website but that doesn't seem to be the case. I no longer have the beta on that external hard drive since its been erased and reformatted. Really would like to fix this issue as well.

I have the same issue Have sold my iPhone 5 deleted it from my iCloud account, as the instructions provided by the vodafone. Just logged in a few weeks after a successful sale and the iPhone 5 is still listed in my iCloud settings under devices seems to be no way to remove it

I have opened find my phone and it is not listed there presumably that is how i was successful at selling it ( Dyer waning from vendor if not removed from iCloud the sale would not proceed )

i do hope there is no chance of iCloud sharing information with this device

I sold an old iMac, Mid-2010 to a coworker's daughter. I did a 3-pass erase of the HDD while re-installing Mavericks 9.0.4 but the poor design of Apple's Mac is having to sign in to iCloud during initialization. After I set it up I signed out of iCloud, never having saved my ID and password in Keychain. It shows up in iCloud under devices but when I try to locate it it says OFFLINE under ALL DEVICES. If you click on it it tries to locate it again and when it fails it gives you the option to Remove the device stating it will show up again when it connects to the internet. Hopefully it doesn't reappear! I guess I could use the ERASE option in that case but will it?? The coworker said his daughter was going to reinstall but then said something to the effect she went right to using it.

Can't remove a device from iCloud

I very recently got a new iMac. I added synced it along with my iPhone and Macbook Pro to iCloud. Today the iMac had to go back to Apple to be changed for a different spec model.

The problem I'm having now is that i can not seem to remove this device from my devices in iCloud. I can not find a remove option anywhere.

I was just on the phone to Apple and they could not help me remove it either.

Does anyone know how?

I spoke with 2 Apple representatives for one hour trying to figure this out. The supervisor said that this happens to be a glitch in the system. However he also said that the iCloud website should reset every 90 days and when it does any "ghost" devices should be removed automatically, if not currently signed in to iCloud. Hope this helps.😎
