iOS 8.0.2 Did not fix BlueTooth issues!

I see everyone posting ways to fix this but nothing works. It may work for a short while but then goes back to unable to make or rcv calls on BlueTooth in the car.

CNN Has finally picked this issue up. Hopefully Apple will now do something ASAP! I am ready to take my phone back and get a competitors model.

It does not matter how many times you reset all settings or network settings or wipe you cars bluetooth memory or change the phone name, etc. It does not work. I have been struggling with this since launch day of iOS8. I have 2 iPhone 5's with the exact same issue and they had no such issue for 2 years before iOS 8.

For those who post things like "The reset worked for me!" I ask that you shut your phone off or do an iTunes sync or backup and then let us know how it's working. Probably no success. It will revert to the same bluetooth issue.

I am terribly upset over this. I can't believe that Apple of all companies would have such a problem. It should "JUST WORK" but it doesn't. Very sad.

I do hope something gets done this weekend because I am ready to return it and move on to something else. Don't get me wrong, I am a huge Apple fan. I have a couple iPads, a MacBook Pro, Apple TV, 2 iPhone 5's, 1 iPhone 5c and an iPhone 6 now. But if this doesn't get fixed soon, I have no choice to dump my phone and move on.

The worst part is that we pay so much for a premium product and I don't expect these "amateur" issues.

Also people forget about going to your car dealership to get a bluetooth update as the Apple support people are telling everyone, including me.

So, please, Apple... Don't leave us hanging like this.

LOL....yes, it's fine with me! We'll be seeing 8.x updates for a long time. the way it works in Apple Land is a whole jump in iOS number is usually when the next phone is released. So when the 6s or whatever they call it is released next September, we'll likely get the next major iOS release, which logically will be iOS 9.

That said, I recently read an article in which the author was saying Apple may move away from major updates only when a new product is released. I guess we'll see if that really happens.

There is only one fix for this in my opinion, after a few hours of tech support help, and it is painful!!!

It is to erase the phone and set up as a new device. The 6 and 6 plus are different devices than the 5, 5s or 4 so it has different settings that can't be simply copied from another model of iPhone.

That's right, all the settings, all the content, all the work!!!! Again; don't shoot the messenger, but I tried everything else until I restarted by setting up a new device and now the Bluetooth works perfectly with Audi A7, but now have hours of downloading installing apps etc. Sorry for the bad news, but connecting to the car is a safety issue to me and therefor important. I systematically tried all the other suggestions before the drastic one of resetting as a new device and nothing worked.

I Love the phone enough to deal with it, but just prepare yourself for a weekend of resetting your device In my experience.

Good luck!

IOS 8 onwards caused both iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S to be completely useless and incapable of connecting properly to our VW Tiguan Blue Tooth kit so we cannot use the hands-free in the car.

This is an absolute disgrace and Apple not 'fessing up smacks of typical corporatocracy and lack of any sense of customer care.

And to all of you Apple fans who are NOT experiencing this problem, bully for you, but it IS a genuine problem for thousands of iPhone users. Please don't waste any other users's time who visit this site looking for solutions by posting "I'm alright Jack" comments, because it is completely pointless. Accept the fact that there is a GENUINE FU going on here.

If anyone would like the full list of other software conflicts and coding FUs relating to their iPhone 5C, let me know and I shall post it up.

TO APPLE: YOU ARE A DISGRACE. IF YOU WILL REFUND ALL OF THE MONEY I HAVE SPENT ON YOUR APPS, I WILL THROW AWAY MY iPhone AND GET A SAMSUNG.
