iOS 8.0.2 Did not fix BlueTooth issues!

I see everyone posting ways to fix this but nothing works. It may work for a short while but then goes back to unable to make or rcv calls on BlueTooth in the car.

CNN Has finally picked this issue up. Hopefully Apple will now do something ASAP! I am ready to take my phone back and get a competitors model.

It does not matter how many times you reset all settings or network settings or wipe you cars bluetooth memory or change the phone name, etc. It does not work. I have been struggling with this since launch day of iOS8. I have 2 iPhone 5's with the exact same issue and they had no such issue for 2 years before iOS 8.

For those who post things like "The reset worked for me!" I ask that you shut your phone off or do an iTunes sync or backup and then let us know how it's working. Probably no success. It will revert to the same bluetooth issue.

I am terribly upset over this. I can't believe that Apple of all companies would have such a problem. It should "JUST WORK" but it doesn't. Very sad.

I do hope something gets done this weekend because I am ready to return it and move on to something else. Don't get me wrong, I am a huge Apple fan. I have a couple iPads, a MacBook Pro, Apple TV, 2 iPhone 5's, 1 iPhone 5c and an iPhone 6 now. But if this doesn't get fixed soon, I have no choice to dump my phone and move on.

The worst part is that we pay so much for a premium product and I don't expect these "amateur" issues.

Also people forget about going to your car dealership to get a bluetooth update as the Apple support people are telling everyone, including me.

So, please, Apple... Don't leave us hanging like this.

iPhone 6, iOS 8

Other than ranting and making threats, what steps have you taken to try to get Bluetooth working? The poster below you suggested a step you could take and it worked for them. Have you tried it? Also, it's been widely reported that iOS 8.1, which will be released on October 20th is resolving Bluetooth connectivity issues. While I don't have the issue I do understand it's very frustrating for those who do.

This is going to sound harsh, but no one cares if you go somewhere else. You're just ranting, which is against the terms you agreed to when you joined the forum. If you want to ask for help and tell us what you've tried, people will try to help you. If you want to whine and shout, you won't get much support, if any.

Oh and if you think the grass is greener on the other side of the pasture, here's a link of issues associated with Samsung Galaxy S5. No phone, especially when newly launched isn't immune to issues. http://www.digitaltrends.com/mobile/galaxy-s5-problems/

I Have logged a ticket with Apple after re-setting network settings......which didn't work, then to factory settings.......which didn't work, then re-set iPhone as new.......which didn't work, so I've tried it all with the advice from Apple themselves. So a rant is warranted! But restoring factory settings in the car HAS worked and so far so good is still working. They still need to hurry up with ios8.1 though as IOS8.0.2 has messed a lot of things up.

Are you an Apple-paid Troll?

I have not ranted.

I have not raved.

I have told the truth.

I am a CUSTOMER and the service I have had is disgraceful.

I have a PhD in Physics.

I have worked in IT\Software development for 30 years.

Yes, I have tried all of the suggested fixes: they do NOT work.

Please do NOT insult my intelligence.

Please spend your time posting on the "We love Apple" websites: this Forum is here, as you clearly fail to appreciate, for people to air their problems (about which your beloved Apple Inc. neither accept nor notify in advance...I cannot believe that Apple Inc. release new software without any (proper) update information. FFS, even Microsoft (Copyright) do that!) and to, hopefully, exchange useful information and find work-arounds (for problems that should not have to be worked around in the first place, FFS).

I am forced to assume that you are from America but if you happen to be English, I should be happy to sell you my iPhone, iPad and every other piece of Apple cr4p that I own: deal? Forget that. Please do not enter any more posts on this thread as you are not helping anyone with your sarcasm\trollism (or is that troilism - you, your mate from Apple Inc and ANO?).

Now you can see how annoyed I am about this. I am myself reduced to sarcasm. Very sad world it is when Globalists like Apple Inc. can upset and affect so many people simply by releasing a piece of sh1te software. Not only sad: very scary.

Doh! I do not have an iPhone 6! I have an iPhone 5C which has now been rendered virtually useless as a...telephone. Because of iOS8.

It does not now work with my hands-free Bluetooth kit in my car.

The visual voicemail does not work.

Calls not being received.

Need I say any more?

Oh, yea, teething troubles for iPhone 6? I don't think so. There are 10 times more people out there with iPhones other than iPhone 6.

Apple should be looking after the majority of their EXISTING customers.

Simple business sense dictates that, or you alienate the majority in seeking to pleas the minority.

Don't you get that?

Seems like there are some posts on how to fix the problem in some cases, otherwise wait for the update or jump ship, who cares. I can tell you that I have an iPhone 6 and a Samsung G4 for travel & work, Androids are not immune to bugs & apps crash frequently. Try plugging in your phone in and using the "Hey Siri" feature in your car, I promise you'll make it till they get a fix. Do I wish everything worked out of the box on the first go, absolutely, the reality is nothing ever does. Get over it, you have access to running water, food and shelter.

It's not an iPhone 6 issue. It's an iOS 8.x issue, which is also effecting your 5c, and other phones. No one said this was exclusive to iPhone 6. And yes I get that you and other's are having issues. You can wait for iOS 8.1, which hopefully resolves your issues, or you can get rid of your phone and go somewhere else. Your choice. Ranting here isn't going to get you much.

I think I have found a workaround. I reset "all settings" and did not enable SIRI, I don't use SIRI much and don't miss it. I did this last week and so far my bluetooth has been working in my car. I was one of those that had 8.0.2 and the bluetooth did not work. I reloaded 8.0.0 and it worked for a day, I then allowed the update to go through to 8.0.2 and disabled SIRI. So far, and it has been 7 days, bluetooth has continued to work in my car.

I realize this is just a workaround and it may not fix everyone's problem but it did for me.

Iphone 6, 2014 Honda Accord.

I Know I am painting a target on me but this adds to my list as a true western problem. I too am having these issues but I am perfectly fine waiting for the 20th for the next update. My $800 phone is not connectiing to my German luxury car so I am so ****** off I am going to buy another $800 phone Instead of waiting 2 weeks? I'm sorry but this is funny.

I Have a work vehicle skoda rapid (ick), and my bike helmet (viper), the car itll connect and reconnect and sometimes just not at all or waits for 20secondds before it connects, I highly doubt skoda will attempt to help me out with a software update, I know what I'd say, the fault lies with your device, it worked before didn't it? the helmet I can gurantee there's no software update for that!! There's no way to apply it anyway!

this ***** but I read update is due on the 20th, **** - my ordered £700 phone might actually get to me by then and the ipad Safari link clicking issue may have been fixed by then too?

iOS 8.0.2 Did not fix BlueTooth issues!
