iOS 8.0.2 Did not fix BlueTooth issues!

I see everyone posting ways to fix this but nothing works. It may work for a short while but then goes back to unable to make or rcv calls on BlueTooth in the car.

CNN Has finally picked this issue up. Hopefully Apple will now do something ASAP! I am ready to take my phone back and get a competitors model.

It does not matter how many times you reset all settings or network settings or wipe you cars bluetooth memory or change the phone name, etc. It does not work. I have been struggling with this since launch day of iOS8. I have 2 iPhone 5's with the exact same issue and they had no such issue for 2 years before iOS 8.

For those who post things like "The reset worked for me!" I ask that you shut your phone off or do an iTunes sync or backup and then let us know how it's working. Probably no success. It will revert to the same bluetooth issue.

I am terribly upset over this. I can't believe that Apple of all companies would have such a problem. It should "JUST WORK" but it doesn't. Very sad.

I do hope something gets done this weekend because I am ready to return it and move on to something else. Don't get me wrong, I am a huge Apple fan. I have a couple iPads, a MacBook Pro, Apple TV, 2 iPhone 5's, 1 iPhone 5c and an iPhone 6 now. But if this doesn't get fixed soon, I have no choice to dump my phone and move on.

The worst part is that we pay so much for a premium product and I don't expect these "amateur" issues.

Also people forget about going to your car dealership to get a bluetooth update as the Apple support people are telling everyone, including me.

So, please, Apple... Don't leave us hanging like this.

This is indeed a huge problem.

I work for a BMW dealership and we get a lot of complaints related to iOS 8 (on iPhone 6 or previous models).

Our customers (and myself of course) are not able to have correct phone conversations in their cars.

Some people can't connect to their car at all, some people (like myself) can connect to listen to iTunes music or podcasts in Bluetooth, but are not able to have a phone call.

Please Apple, HELP !!!

I have Bluetooth issue in my 2010 Toyota RAV 4. iphone 6 will pair with car, it will dial, but the minute the call connects, it turns off bluetooth. This is a 15 page post with lots of suggestions, can anyone just a post a quick summary of 3 things to try. It is obviously a bug in iOS 8 that needs a patch from apple, but I am willing to try 3 things. However, I should not have to spend 2+ hours reading a 15 page thread to get a high-end phone to work with my car bluetooth. Apple better hurry up with this patch.

PS I also have a 13 page thread on an iTunes 11.4 sync issue that I am fighting. Apple's QA is slipping to the MS level, and stability of products and QA was a big competitive advantage for Apple. Looks like the premium price for Apple products is losing its justification.

I had the same problem, phone would pair with a Pioneer GPS/Radio/Bluetooth and a MBZ GLK Bluetooth, it would ring through the car speaker but it would not answer through Bluetooth. I was all set to wait for the next IOS to fix this, then I had other issues like cannot forget Bluetooth devices on my iPhone 6, so I logged out of iCloud from the phone, forget every device on the phone, logged back into iCould to make sure everything is gone. Just being curious, I went to delete the phone from the GLK, paired it again and tested again. I could not believe it, it worked, I can use the steering wheel to answer and hangup and can talk through the car speaker. Not sure it will fix everyone's issue, but at least it fixed mine, for now.

2013 Chevy Cruze - Pairs but cannot make/receive calls, tried repairing no luck. This is with 5S & 6+ both on iOS 8.02

2011 Porsche 911 - Tried the 6+, seemingly works so far.

2012 Honda CRV - iPhone 6 works for phone however not for music. Plays but wrong track shows up on vehicle display

Kinda lame Apple, some public recognition and comments on when a fix will be issued would be appropriate.

I agree there still seems to be some problems with Bluetooth even with 8.0.2. I have both a iphone5 and an iphone 6 both running ios 8.0.2 and I am having problems with both phones connecting to the Mercedes Drive Kit plus kit that is installed in a mercedes GLA

The phone is able to connect to the standard bluetooth connectivity in the car but will not connect to the drivekitplus. I think this may re something to do with the fact that it tries to authenticate in the background without user intervention. I also seem to have seen that the phone performed a firmware upgrade when it was plugged into the drivekit.

Come on apple sort this out

I feel everyone's PAIN! I have a iPhone 5s, iOS 8.0.2. Have tried everything including wiping all three car's Bluetooth memory and forgetting all three cars in my phone; then repairing from scratch. 2013 model with Bluetooth audio sync for radio works but NONE of the three Subaru cars work as a cell phone sync anymore - This is becoming a safety issue on Apple's hands. We own a 2010 Subaru Legacy, 2013 Subaru Legacy and 2011 Subaru Outback - THREE Subaru's that all worked flawlessly with iOS 7.... LOVE my SUBARU's - HATE Apple iOS 8

This is strange and probably frustrating for a lot of people, however, Bluetooth phone functions still work fine between my iPhone 6 with IOS 8.0.2 and GLK, music streaming would connect but dropped after a minute. Did not check the Pioneer GPS/radio again on my ML after getting it to work as I seldom drive that truck. My son just got his iPhone 6 yesterday, I made a point to have him update it to 8.0.2 first, then paired with his 2013 Civic Hybrid, both phone and app (music, Google Map and everything else) work fine. Guess will have to wait for the next IOS to get it 100%. Oh, I have a Garmin that I use for overseas travel, that works fine with Phone as well, but would not pair for music.

Thanks to everyone's posts my issue is resolved. I deleted the phone from the car, forgot the device on the iphone bluetooth settings, restarted both, and paired again and it worked. I did the same "forget device and repair process" for my Nokia Bluetooth headset that was having issues and that fixed the Nokia too.

like so many other people it seems I am having all sorts of problems with my iPhone 6 plus and bluetooth in my car

am running iOS 8.0.2 ... bluetooth pairs but I can't make or receive calls in the car - I have a late 2013 Hyundai i30

I've spent (wasted) hours on the phone with apple support and tried all manners of things to fix it - strange that none of them including advanced tech team were aware of this issue

it was only after I did a google search that I found many articles about this trouble

fingers crossed 8.1 fixes the problem

iOS 8.0.2 Did not fix BlueTooth issues!
