Since the last update to iOS 8.0.2 problems with Bluetooth on my iPhone 5s and iPad air, cannot connect to any via bluetooth.......
iPhone 5s, iOS 8
I had the same problem today with the BlueTooth in my car. It's a danger to try and deal with it while driving and now I am forced to use the earbuds to talk when I'm in the car. I sure hope there is a fix for this soon!
Just go to settings, restore, restore all setting. I was having the same issue and now is fixed, then you need to customize settings again but no reboot or erase needed. Forward this fix to all users having bluetooth issues
I have read the following sentence umpteen times: "Just go to settings, restore, restore all setting", of course I have tried it like many others without success how many times one need to repeat it as a mantra, we have even got the advice of turning the Bluetooth on, we have been reading a discussion regarding if you can ask or not ask Apple questions, in my eyes completely irrelevant, formal and out of context. We are confronted with a dangerous issue, an issue that's distracting drivers from driving, that's the whole purpose of having a handsfree system. The problem does exist, it's not something we have invented for entertainment or because we have nothing else to do. The problem is related to the last iOS 8. Apple is of course reading what we write and our frustration. No community can fix a problem that's a bug in the iOS 8.0.2 we can at max make Apple aware of the problem and hope for next release 8.0.3. Solutions are the purpose of this site if it's a users mistake, make Apple aware of the existence of major problems must be the other purpose of this community. Now I have understood that the community does not help, cannot help and I just cross my fingers for Apple being aware of the problem they have created to the ones using a handsfree device while driving, hopefully most of iPhone users. Over and out.
Same problem with Iphone6 and Iphone4s on Volkswagen and Viseoo MBU3000
Hi, same identical issue on iPhone 5 and my NISSAN QASHQAI: connectivity with the car hand free system is established and works fine for music but it does not work at all for both incoming and outgoing calls.
Hi Micael C,
I have similar problem with iPhone 6 in my car....
my iPhone 6 seems to have similar symptoms on Plantronics Voyager. I have to end the conversation on the iPhone 6 instead of pressing the button on the Plantronics
This is a complete nightmare Apple has managed to muck up two of my updated ios 8.02 phone,s neither work on my bluetooth I am sooo frustrated and gutted. I am paying a considerable amount of money on my i phone 6 and cannot use it for work in my car. I have been on the phone endlessly to apple for two episodes of two hours with the promise of an engineers report, have had no reply from anyone. Apple get some respect for your loyal customers and get this sorted. please stop moving the problem to the dealerships its an ios 8.02 problem. Im so angry I want to take back my hand set. Apple you are ruining your good reputation GET THIS SORTED ITS COSTING PEOPLE TIME AND MONEY not acceptable. If everyone took a wide birth from apple then you would get on this immediately. I am now without an handset that I can use for work completely mucked up
Sharon
Dear Sharon, I love you, thanks for writing what you wrote also on my behalf as you so well say ITS COSTING PEOPLE TIME AND MONEY and it's absolutely NON ACCEPTABLE. Thanks
Very odd problem after upgrading my iPhone 4s to 8.0.2 - I have Toyota, it use to work fine on 7.1.2, now the moment iPhone connected to my car I have an indication on dashboard and ringing sound about an "Incoming Call / Private" without any call indication on the phone itself. Restarting the phone helps for a while, and again, the same till the next restart.
Just to clarify that it's not a "Toyota problem" - my son's Android and my wife's Nokia phones works fine.
I updated to iOS 8, then 8.0.2 and my phone has stopped working, I just bought this car mainly for the features with bluetooth calling, now none of the steering wheel controls work and I have already spoke with Honda technology department which troubleshooting this issue only to find out working for one day then next day back to same issue.
I cannot place call, answer call, or use any of the steering wheel button nothing is working. I am stuck have iphone 5c that is kinda pointless now and a brand new 2014 Honda civic that no longer syncs with my iphone 5c. HondaLink has no ETA on a fix.
I might is well go back to Samsung Galaxy 5 now. Apple really is getting on my nerves.
Hi Jannine 51
It has to be said I think Apple have ran away in hiding over this update because its a widespread problem that they seem to be burying. I only hope that this siuation will resolve otherwise I will be disolving my contract with Apple forever. Any one want to but an apple phone I have two stuck on ios 8.0.2 you cant use with bluetooth ......
Same Issue here!!!!... Upgraded to IOS 8.0.2, bluetooth no longer works in my Audi A5. Worked beautifully before. Hopefully a fix will come out soon or I may have to change phones. I am on the road for long hours and need this ability back. Apple HELP
Second this... Both a iPhone 4S and iPhone 6 on 8.0.2. Peugeot 2008 -14 touch screen no longer showing signal strength & operator.
Address book and call history works, also music over bluetooth is playing ok with steering wheel controls working fine, but calls can't be initiated by the car and no sound is routed.
Sometimes it connects as if it was "in a call" and no response when trying to hang up. This overrides the radio and media player until I turn off bluetooth.
Also, all other phones including a couple of androids and an iPhone 4 with iOS 7 working flawlessly.
Wiping and removing profiles and doing this and that, and that again, and then this once more... Ye, it's certainly a 8.0.2 bug.
