Blue Screen and Non stop reboot after ios 8.0.2 update?

Yes, if you made a prior icloud back up it will still be there.

so how do I get to the option of even starting as new iPhone? My iPhone is just restarting then turning blue! Nothing's happneing when I plug in.

HAs to be done using itunes.

Here is what you can try,

Hold both the power and home buttons until the device powers off, may take 10sec. Let go of both as soon as screen goes black.

Open itunes on your computer and plug in your cable to the computer but NOT the phone.

Once itunes is open hold down the home button on phone and plug in cable and continue holding home button until you see the connect to iTunes logo on screen. iTunes will give a msg that a device has been detected in recovery mode. Now select restore and do not disconnect until you see your device in iTunes again.

Ive tried it 4 times now and it seems to just stop at around 7 mins to go! 😠 Any ideas? Thx for your time

Does your device fully restore then you get the blue screen? Or are you getting error msg?

The restore. Just tries to turn itself on again with a few mins to go. Any ideas ?

The restore from the downloaded OS never finishes before the phone gets the blue screen and returns to the cycle of white apple screen, blue screen, white apple screen, blue screen ... The iTunes comes up with an error and says the restore failed. I was hopeful. It was restoring on the phone until the blue screen problem interrupted the restore. It restores for about 5 minutes before failing.

This worked for me, although didn't work from the first attempt, had to perform this procedure twice. First time software got installed (I guess), after second restore it worked just fine.

Overall, Apple quality of service got way worse comparing when Steve ran the company, sorry.

I am trying to updated it through DFU for the fifth time already.

I've done a restore from a pre-ios8 version, and then it updated to ios8--it worked for 12 hours, and then constant cycle of boot up, blue screen, fade to black, shut down, reboot, starting at the beginning of a 10-hour day at work. Just awesome. Tried a restore as described above, and it didn't affect the reboot cycle at all. Apple, can you post a patch to break the Blue Death Cycle? I'm wondering if I'm being punished for removing the U2 album...
