Same problem here, iPhone 5 with continuous rebooting problem. I even did a fresh install of iOS 8.0.2 in DFU mode and the problem persists. Everything seemed to work perfect with 8.0. Sometimes it will stop rebooting but if for any reason the phone turns off, sometimes because the lack of battery power the problem begins again for hours! I also have problems with the battery percentage indicator, since the update it gets stuck in 32%, sometimes 71%, sometimes 100%, and after using it for hours will go to the real percentage. This is very frustrating, I hope iOS 8.0.3 or 8.1 fixes all this. If anyone has a real fix please help! Thanks!

Same happened to me. The difference is that it happened to me on a phone they just gave me as a warranty replacement 4 days prior. Now this new to me phone, doesn't seem to have a very good battery. If Apple is going to be so quick to swap phones with problems with these new to me genius bar phones, they better do a better job of testing the phones as good substitutes.

Guys,

I faced the same issue since 10 days and the only way is to restoring my iPhone which wast my time daily .. last day i got a solution and its work for me for 2 days so far but its happen one only and restart it and was Ok, check the following.

  • Disable iCloud sync for the iWork apps by going to Settings > iCloud > Documents & Data, and sliding Pages, Keynote, and Numbers to off.
  • Try to use apps that have been updated to take advantage of iOS 7. Apple has not updated Pages, Keynote, or Numbers.

waiting for your feedback.

I also have same problem here with iphone 5s.

I managed to turn on my phone after 4 attempts on last Friday, and it's been working fine til this morning.

Again, all of sudden, my phone won't stop rebooting again.

I've tried restoring my iphone with iTunes for more than 10 times now, but I'm getting error messages.

I bought my iPhone in September 2013, so the hardware warranty has expired.

Would I be able to get the replacement at Apple store without any charge?

What was your warranty status? plz let me know!

I have contact Apple via live chat yesterday and they assist me with a healthy restore for my iPhone 5S and the explained the correct way to avoid corruption or fault during the update to iOS 8.0.2.

1. Open iTunes (Make sure is updated).

2. Plug your iPhone by the original USB cable to your laptop / PC.

3. Get back up.

4. Restore it and make sure your internet speed is acceptable and you have enough data.

5. After restoring plug off your iPhone and start it as new Phone " You will see welcome message " accept and agree.

6. Try to use all the application Safari, Siri, Camera, Make call, send SMS .. etc for 3 minutes min.

7. Plug your iPhone again and get you back up back.

This is the correct and healthy way to download iOS & Restore on your device and this what Apple technical support mentioned.

Mine just seemed to have died. It entered this morning again in a non stop rebooting cycle till it shut down. I have connected it to the try waking it up, just to make a restore but it looks dead 😟 I have an appointment tomorrow at the Apple Store. I really hope they can help me. This is the first time I have a problem with an iOS update. I don't wish this to anyone.

Okay, what you do, is turn your phone off completely.
Then, open up itunes on your computer and hold down the home button while plugging your phone into the computer.
It will see that it needs to be restored so you have to wait a little over an hour for the software to completely download. When it is complete, turn your phone off once again and do the same process, and it will ask you if you want to restore your phone once again. You click restore, and then the computer will put the software on the phone 🙂

All that does is restore the phone to factory settings. When you go to restore from a backup, your phone is messed up again. I had a Genius do this several times at the store the other day to confirm. So I had to do a restore from an iPad backup, had to re-download iPhone specific apps, rebuild all my folders, re-authenticate with all services ... what a major waste of time.

Of course, some apps were purchased under other IDs. This is something else that Cook was going to fix but never got around to helping his customers out by allowing for consolidation of iTunes accounts, either. So in a catastrophe where Apple fails by making a corrupt backup and screwing up a phone, you get more than double the effort to try to get back to operations.

Not a fan of what Cook allows to go on and the massive waste of time.

And now I have a phone that has a noisy home button etc etc on top of it all.

Having right the same issue on my iPhone 5 with iOS 8.0.2 installed. It randomly starts rebooting in a loop and quits it over some time. Also battery charge stays constant for some time and then suddenly falls to a lower charge. Fresh install didn't clear this problem.

How can we tell the iOS developers about this issue? It really makes impossible to use my device
