Anyones health kit app stop working?

I went to bed last night and everything was tracking fine between my Healthkit app and myfitnesspal app. I had 5 or 6 things pinned to my dashboard. I woke up and it is all gone.. Nothing is pinned to my dashboard and when I swipe to put it on my dashboard and press back it still isn't there and I go back in and it is switched off. I click on the Show all data and it does the spiny thinking icon forever and won't populate. But my steps I think are still being calculated in myfitnesspal. I have killed all open apps, soft restart, hard restart and nothing has fixed it. I have the iPhone 6 64gb ATT with the os and all apps updated.

I Was on the phone with apple for about 25 minutes today. The person i talked to said they arent aware of any issue with the healthkit app which contradicts

comments on this thread . I told the person then why is there a long thread on the apple forum that states otherwise. So my thought as painful as it mite be to call support snd log the issue so we can get this fixed. I sm in the process of doing a full restore suggested by the apple person. I will update this post later if it works. But i ghink everyone on this thread needs to csll because they they arent aware of any issues.

Count me in on this issue. Last night at 11:20pm is the last accurate data point (and I went to bed later than that, so didn't die overnight).

A few data points from my experience

- I installed the "Human" app which syncs to healthkit. That's when I noticed that health app hadn't registered any data today.

- I removed the Human app, just to be sure

- I then noticed the Health app was getting ANCIENT data. Like, it recording some steps from 1981. I was old enough to be walking in 1981, but I'm pretty sure that even Apple's new fancy M8 processor is quite that good. (I have screenshots showing this data if anyone wants to see) I hadn't seen that particular issue referenced here yet.

What I've tried:

- I deleted the weird data points to see if that helped kickstart things again.

- I quit and relaunched the Health app

- I hard-restarted the phone

- I reinstalled the "Human" app, noticed that it wasn't registering any steps either

- I followed Apple's instructions that have been linked to from here. No avail.

Finally, I did a "Reset All Settings", which seems to have sprung it back to life. I now have data starting from about 2 hours ago. Oddly, all the data between 11:20pm last night and 4:15pm today seems to be completely missing. Given that the M8 processor is supposed to store about 2 weeks of data, this data loss is suspicious.

I'll report back over the next few days with any more updates. I'm going to avoid doing a full restore for now, and keep an eye on it. I've lost enough hours on Apple's bugs for one day.

I did a complete restore per the apple tech that thought this would fix my issue..well it didnt..upon opening the health app, i have no data from today at all, but have some wrong info from yesterday...if they are working on the issue which i dont think anyone really knows if they are or they arent, that would be great but this is very frustrating day after day after day. i wouldnt bother doing a restore, for it fixed nothing.ni even tried restarting and resetting after the resetting to try and get todays steps to show, to no avail. Also still getting duplicate entries coming over from my fitness pal.

I am also experiencing similar periods of data loss with the Health App. I am using iPhone 6, with 8.0.2, running My Fitness Pal and MotionX 24/7: Sleep analysis. Both apps don't report data in the Health App. I have performed the "Reset Workaround" mentioned here, I have removed the apps, re-installed them, but nothing seems to stay stable or to be a permanent fix. There are times that some data is reported, later, it clears out. Other times it won't report any data, and all settings revert. All the while though, the apps are listed in Health as sources, and the permissions are correctly set to allow the apps to write to the Health app.

The whole thing seems unbelievably unstable. I have even been in contact with the developers of the specific apps I'm using, explaining to them the problems, and seeing if their engineers know what is going on. I find it concerning that Apple Support isn't watching their threads, however this particular thread doesn't have a large volume of traffic (only 5795 right now, 10/7/2014). Perhaps people aren't reporting things or aren't following the standard support channels. In either case, it's quite disappointing to me that nothing is being reported out to the public about these problems or about when a real fix is coming.

My fitness pal is the problem!!!! I did not do any resets I went I my fitness pal deleted the app and the app data. Then I opened up health kit and all my info was there.

MY fitness pal must have had a bug in there last update and its blocking the health kit app. You can try this without deleting data to see if it works. I clicked delete data and worked perfect for me. Let me know if this has worked for everyone else or if anyone is having this problem and they never installed my fitness pal.

I'll attempt to remove My Fitness Pal to see if it resolves any of my problems, however, I'm not sure how a bug in MFP would or could affect other apps ability to write to the Health App. Apple sandboxes applications so they don't and can't mess with other application's data or settings. That being said, this is a case where the feature Apple has released is the ability to "share" data across apps. I could see a situation where MFP is not properly interacting with the HealthKit API, and as a result other applications aren't able to perform their routines the write to the API. I'll follow-up here and let the discussion board know my experience. Thanks for the tip.

i went to the gym this morning cycled for 30 minutes nothing showed up on my health app. Also climbed 4 flights of steps helath app says 1. Steps seems to work fine, but nothing else. I also deleted my fitness pal from syncing with health app because that information isnt coming over to the health app correctly either. I hope as one of the last commenters said apple is working on the solution. Will wait and see. In the meantime i downloaded a different app to log my steps climbed and cycling, but it sure is irratating that i cant do it on the native iphone app.

Same here. Healthkit is crap. Nothing but issues so far. Yesterday it stopped tracking steps accurately. Walked all day and said I only did .02 miles. Woke up this morning, and all data and graphs are gone in the Heath app. Anything more demotivating than finally tracking your fitness only to have the apps not work, thanks for the motivation to stick with it Apple!

Apple 6, 128gb, Human and MyfitnessPal are conencted apps. Native IOS not showing as source and never has.
