IOS 8.0.2 wifi issues

Well before iPhone 6 I had iPhone 5 running iOS7 and didn't have any issues at work.

Just updated to 8.1. Although you can already connect to wifi. Connection is still so slow. Watching movies is so annoying as it keeps on buffering. So disappointed with this update.

8.1 doesn't fix the Wifi for me either. Exactly the same performance issues.

Apple is a joke at this point. The problem is that I don't think I can still return and cancel the phone upgrade that I've done 3 weeks ago. Is it too late? I don't want this phone anymore.

What I did is got a new 6 and didnt upgrade. Left it on 8.0 and until now thank God works ok.

Go ask for a new one and DONT upgrade.

unless u want to switch to android so your issue is carrier related.

I upgraded 3 weeks ago from iPhone5 to 6 so now I'm under new contract. I was wondering if I could somehow have it revoked (the phone and new contract).

It wouldn't hurt to ask. Depends on each carriers rules.

or you could just ask for a device replacement and like I said get a 6 and not upgrade it or give it back and get something else due to these issues.

If you see the radio signal in the display, how can you be sure it's not working? Is it just spinning?

Updated to 8.1, and was very optimistic. I performed the update at work about 2 PM. Had no issues until 5 minutes ago at home. Same exact behavior. Wireless signal is fine, but it just stops talking to the internet. Had to turn wireless off and back on, then it's fine again. I guess this is my new life.

***?? Should I even bother updating to 8.1 then? I get the feeling like this is just digging a deeper and deeper grave for all my iOS devices.

Gus, are you saying you just went to the Apple Store and swapped your 6 for a replacement with 8.0? I guess I'll have to try that. It won't help with my iPad or 5s...but the problem does seem to worst on the 6.

I updated to 8.1. That was my last shred of trust in Apple.

FAIL. THIS DOES NOT FIX THE PROBLEM.

The he he first thing I tried was starting Facebook. It hung before the app could display anything. I kill it and try again. Same thing, it freezes while loading. Switch wifi off and on. Suddenly facebook loads everything. I scroll down and it hangs, spinning away.

I Believe you can just like many others did in here.

JUst be very demanding and dont go into a software conversation with them.

JUst tell them that it has permanent connection issues

i've exact the same problem. sometimes the connection drops and/or most of the time my wifi is very slow or i have no data transfer although the full wifi signal is there
