I had the same problem. My Iphone 6 had a very tiny hairline crack from left to right on the top portion which my friend noticed while we were at Yaklima. It was a hot and sunny day. I have a protection case for my Iphone 6 I bought from Amazon and I always take good care of it and did not even fall. The curved line grew longer. But I need to use my Iphone 6 and need to put it in my pocket most of the time.
I went back to Seattle, then I scheduled an appointment for Genius Bar at Bellevue Branch for Monday which was the available schedule that works for me. However, today Saturday, while shopping at Southcenter Mall, I noticed that aside from the curved line that grew longer, it started getting bigger, so I decided to stop by at Apple Store nearby.I talked to the staff, I was ushered in and he assured me that it will be taken cared off and looking at the curved line that started, it will be covered by warranty.
After waiting for about 15 minutes, a technician approached me, I told him what happened, and why I am concerned that the line is now spreading to the right top portion. He took my Iphone. Then he came back, saying that I should have brought the Iphone 6 "immediately" because if it's a line as I've explained and desribed, then it is covered by warranty. I told him that it is impossible for me to drive immediately because I scheduled an appointment and within that time frame, I will still use my Iphone and that I am concerned that the crack is spreading.
I felt so dissatisfied with the customer service at Tukwila Southcenter branch and the way the technician is making me feel like an idiot for not immediately driving to the nearest Apple Store.
Last time I had the same problem with my Ipad Air, which sudddenly had a tiny line crack that was getting bigger, I brought it to Apple Store in Bellevue. They gave me a replacement IpadAir right then and there. I wished I went to Bellevue Apple Store right away for my Iphone 6 and spared myself of being treated like an idiot by the technician at SouthCenter Tukwila. Worst customer service ever.
