FaceTime camera appears off-center

I noticed today that on my iPhone 6 the FaceTime camera on the front appears way off-center. I've attached a photo, but it's a little hard to see. It doesn't seem to interfere with the camera, but I don't really know that without a comparison and I haven't seen any other iPhone 6 in person to compare how it looks. Should I

take this in to have looked at?

Why don't you contact forum admin and ask them to close this discussion then? And why are you on here discussing Apple policies? And by the way, the sub-domain is "discussions." Therefore, I think general discussion is perfectly permissible. Keep in mind that other people are reading these threads looking for help - reading through general discussion can be very helpful. Reading through post after post about Apple policies however is not - so please refrain from bringing up policies again.

Why do you assume I have not? The Hosts will sometimes allow a thread to continue, unless it really, really gets out of hand. At this point, it's just wasted time mostly, by people that aren't following the correct recommendations for this situation: Contact Apple.

And as far as why I'm 'discussing' the policies, I'm simply referring you to the Terms of Use to which you agreed. That's not a discussion. A discussion would be if I brought up my opinion about the Terms of Use. I have not done so.

Stating a policy is not a discussion. It is a statement. All I've 'discussed' is your failure (and others) to follow the policies of the forum

The URL of the 'subdomain' doesn't overrule anything. The Terms of Use are what matters. You thinking that 'general discussion' is permitted is a faulty assumption/opinion on your part.

As far as people looking for help on this issue? It's already been provided: Contact Apple to learn your support options.

That's it. There is no other 'fix' that any other user here can provide. It's no different than:

Q: I cracked the screen of my iPhone 6 Plus. What should I do?

A: You should contact Apple for your support options. Here is a link for more information: [Apple - Support - Service Answer Center]

Everything else is beyond the scope of this forum.

For your reference, again:

Q: What should I do about the off-center camera?

A: Contact Apple for your support options if you feel that it is impairing your use of the device.

Don't want to hear about the Terms of Use of this forum? Then stop violating the policies of this forum to which you agreed.

The technical question has been answered. Do you have another technical question? If so, post a new thread.

Since you've made your statement repeatedly and presumably notified the the Hosts whom have let this thread continue, it seems your job here is done. You've helped all you can; time to make your statements in other threads. Thank you!

And I'll continue to make recommendations to those that seem to either be new to the thread and haven't read the correct recommendations, or to people that clearly have read the recommendations and choose not to follow them. Doing so is not a violation of the Terms of Use of this forum. Therefore, your suggestion is inappropriate. Unless I am in violation of those terms, you have no reason to suggest that I stop posting.

Thank you!

I would like to know the experiences of people WHEN they bring their phones into Apple to have them fixed, how many they have tried, when they did so and if they have any new information.

Your blanket response of "Contact Apple" is non-helpful, extremely uninformative and stale, so knock it off.

If you have nothing more to add then leave.

Each individual's situation is a unique one. What happens for one customer at an Apple Store or when contacting Apple Support is not a precedent for what will happen when you do so, especially if the resolution is not an official Apple procedure (i.e., a cracked iPhone 6 screen can usually be replaced for $129 USD + tax, as shown at [Apple - Support - Service Answer Center]).

Unless or until Apple makes an official statement regarding this issue (and they have not done so yet), it is at the discretion of the individual Apple representative working on your case to decide what the appropriate resolution will be. If you do not like their decision, you can request to speak to either A) The Store Manager if you are at the store or B) A Senior Advisor/Customer Relations representative if calling Apple. Which is why the only valid response is to tell you to contact Apple. Just because you don't like that response doesn't make it incorrect or invalid.

Gathering a database about other customers' experiences at an Apple Store or with Apple Support is a 'poll'. Guessing about what Apple will do, beyond the official procedures provided by Apple, is a 'speculation about Apple decisions'. Both are prohibited on this forum.

Listen dude. I could care less about your interpretation of Apple's terms of service.

You don't get to twist terms in order to serve your point. I am not gathering "Data" other than reading it and I am not speculating about any "Apple descisions" because I am asking for real world experiences.

You are in violation of the terms of service yourself:

Be polite. Everyone should feel comfortable reading Submissions and participating in discussions. Apple will not tolerate flames or other inappropriate statements, material, or links. Most often, a "flame" is simply a statement that is taunting and thus arbitrarily inflammatory. However, this also includes those which are libelous, defamatory, indecent, harmful, harassing, intimidating, threatening, hateful, objectionable, discriminatory, abusive, vulgar, obscene, pornographic, sexually explicit, or offensive in a sexual, racial, cultural, or ethnic context.

Please stop harassing me and let us get back on topic.

You are speculating about an Apple decision. You are trying to speculate what Apple will decide in YOUR case.

You are requesting that other people provide an account of their experiences. That's 'polling'.

POLL: record the opinion or vote of. poll pōl/Submit verb gerund or present participle: polling 1. record the opinion or vote of. "focus groups in which customers are polled about merchandise preferences" synonyms: canvass, survey, ask, question, interview, ballot "most of those polled supported the vice president"

This forum doesn't allow to to create polls. Clearly stated in the terms of use, which you obviously found.

Nor am I harassing you. I am simply posting a clear and polite reply. Nothing in my replies has been rude or antagonistic. It has simply been providing correct recommendations. Show me exactly where I have 'harassed' you. Replying to you with an opposing position is not harassment.

Actually, your failure to follow the explicit terms of not polling or speculating is making me feel uncomfortable participating in this discussion. Your blatant disregard for the rule of conduct makes me feel harassed.

It works both ways. You have nothing tangible to show as 'harassment' on my part.

The topic you want to get back on is very straightforward. The entire issue is very straight forward.

Anyone that feels their device has a defect, either cosmetic or technical, should contact Apple for their support options.

No one on this forum can tell you what Apple will decide in YOUR case.

My space grey 128 GB iPhone 6 was replaced about two weeks ago, and I'm now seeing the faintest hint of the crescent starting to appear from the right side of the FaceTime camera. I've been extremely careful with my phone over these past two weeks and am convinced this will happen regardless of how protected the phone is from bumps and hits that might speed up the crescent's appearance. I'll likely hold off for a while before seeking a 2nd replacement in hopes this issue is addressed and fixed by Apple.
