Bear in mind a Cloned image only works 100% correctly when restored to the original Mac it was created on or.. a replacement Mac with (almost) identical specs...

When using it to restore or run on a different speced Mac it should work okay but you might find odd little glitches that you have to manually sort out like install of third party drivers.... for hardware not present on the original source Mac... but connected to the other Mac you are using the clone image with...

Think printer drivers for example... or different Bluetooth devices like Mice / keyboards and so on....

Its normally not tool hard to quickly fix such things manually but just be aware of the possibility....

I guess you use the copy of SuperDuper on the cloned back up to do the work, if needed.

I actually didn't have any issues until I opened Logic X today and the metronome is completely out of sync the latency from my midi keyboard is terrible and everything just sounds a bit wrong. I'm running a Late 2012 Mac Mini 2TB HD 16GB ram, never had any issues on mavericks

Thanks I've done that and the problem still persists I just opened a different project/template and the problem is not happening on this project I just opened, however my midi keyboard has latency still and the controllers for volume, modulation and pitch bend are not working at all. It's a real pain as the template where the metronome is off is my Auto Load for all new projects.

Did you try deleting both Logic Prefs and the CS file?

Delete the user preferences

You can resolve many issues by restoring Logic Pro X back to its original settings. This will not impact your media files. To reset your Logic Pro X user preference settings to their original state, do the following:

1. In the Finder, choose Go to Folder from the Go menu.
2. Type ~/Library/Preferences in the "Go to the folder" field.
3. Press the Go button.
4. Remove the com.apple.logic10.plist file from the Preferences folder. Note that if you have programmed any custom key commands, this will reset them to the defaults. You may wish to export your custom key command as a preset before performing this step. See the Logic Pro X User Manual for details on how to do this. If you are having trouble with a control surface in Logic Pro X, then you may also wish to delete the com.apple.logic.pro.cs file from the preferences folder.
5. If you have upgraded from an earlier version of Logic Pro, you should also remove ~/Library/Preferences/Logic/com.apple.logic.pro.
6. Restart the computer.

**** Dude that was spot on... I wish Apple would get back to being about being the best and not pandering to sell the most iPhones in the world...

my logic doesn't show waveforms anymore... i start a new session record into a mic using my presonus 44vsl and not visible wave form the audio still plays back fine but i can't see the wave... editing nightmare

i had to use and old session and delete everything on it and save it as a template for it to work right...

Just did all of that now and the problem is still occurring thanks for your help.

Did you check the Recording delay setting in Logic's prefs/Audio?

It should be set to exactly 0 <zero>

Normally that fixes the "no waveform' issue... That and/or doing a refresh waveform command....

I just opened a blank new project and the metronome is on time and the latency from the keyboard is gone, it would appear as though it only happens on my template and any projects that were made from that template.

As mentioned, this is usually a Preferences/Audio "Recording Delay" not being set to 0 <zero> problem. If not that I would try deleting Logic X's preferences, or you have a corrupt project.

As for iPhones...

I've been talking to some long time Apple users and they generally concur that Apple's focus is on portable devices, not only that, the Mac OSX operating system is slowly being revamped so it can be under the same development platform as iOS, support is being geared for quick adaptation to what is "popular", ie; "The next big thing" not necessarily what is considered professional. We have seen and probably will continue to see professional support waning. In a manner of speaking, users of Pro Apps are now beta testers. Doesn't mean that Logic isn't a great application, it is but one can see development moving away, witness Logic's performance under Yosemite, development of the OS is outpacing Logic's development by quite a bit now.

Then the issue lies with a setting in your template, that is causing the issue.... so you need to look carefully through your project settings ( and not just Logic's main preferences as they are two different things) and see what are the differences between a new blank project ands your template and correct as needed...

I've already done this and they are exactly the same I am beginning to think it may just be a bug in yosemite and I just have to wait for them to release an update for logic.
