Yosemite, poor performance with Apple TV

I usually use my apple tv as second display over wifi with my MacBookAir6,2 13'' 8GB RAM but today i installed Yosemite from App Store and i can't use my apple tv as a second display because the video streaming is really slow and is really annoying work with that performance, i tried to use mirror display over airplay too but i had the same issue. it a problem with Yosemite ?? when will apple repair that ??. I also tried to use the P2P airplay without my wifi access point only with my mac and apple tv but its the same issue.

Someone earlier States that if you open up iTunes preference and select home sharing, you will not see ATV under active connection, which may mean that its streaming the video through the internet vs our homes intranet. Hence the slow speeds.

I don't think there is much anyone can do until Apple fixes this issue... Although I'm afraid it might be a while since there are other pressing issues with Yosemite, ***** as bluetooth / Magic Mouse not working properly

Hi I'm from the UK and was brought an Apple TV for Christmas (3rd Gen) and I can stream/mirror perfect from my iPad and iPhone 6 Plus but not from my MacBook Pro Retina and iMac. Both MacBook Pro and iMac are running the latest updates for Yosemite. When I try to airplay from my MacBook its choppy with both picture and sound, and basically unplayable. I have tried turning off bluetooth, changing settings and updating Apple TV.

Does anyone know of a fix I could use for this? Any help would be really appreciated.

Thanks
