How do I disable iPhoto (Yosemite) from automatically launching when I plug in my iPhone?

Had never had this problem with iPhoto, but now that I've updated to OS X Yosemite, iPhoto auto-launches every time I plug in my iPhone and I don't find how to disable it.

Thanks in advance for your answers.

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10), Processor: 2.8 GHz dual-core Intel Core i7

I had this also. All I did was:

plug in phone, iphoto launches.

iPhoto preferences, select "launch iPhoto when camera is plugged in."

Quit iPhoto.

Relaunch iPhoto.

iPhoto preferences, select "no app when camera is plugged in."

Quit iPhoto and problem is gone.

I update to Yosemite 2 days ago, everything went well till it told me to update to IPhoto 9.6 & iMovie 10.0.6 When I tried to update them thru the app's it gave a error message of " update unavailable, was purchased under another Apple ID or cancelled or refunded". I tried many different ways to get in but none worked.

The next day I called Apple support. After they checked many options they said that the i Photo & I Movie came with the computer. Support worked with the App. Dept. & gave me redemption codes to use. Was told to wait around 20 min's before trying them. Logged into my App. Act. opened the "redeem" in the "feature" section. Entered the codes. Came up "Invalid Codes" Tried it on & off thru the evening & this morning. still no luck.

Called Apple Support again, Gave them my case #, they worked with level 2 App's. Was then given new redemption codes. They worked right away. Took about 20 mins for them to down load. "opened" them. Clicked to "update files". Did not take very long for this, 4 min. (guess it depends on your file sizes).

It did not ask to restart but I did it anyway, when reopened, I photo was still grayed out. Just clicked on it & it reopened. All seam to be working well now.

Thank You to Apple Support

FYI; Make sure you give Apple Support your phone # right a way just in case you get disconnected (happened on my first call) & Get your Case #

My wait time call 1 was 15 min. on second was 5 min's. 🙂
