Iphone 6 is muting speakerphone automatically.

This problem is getting pretty exhausting. If I am on a phone call, using soeakerphone, the mute will sometimes engage for no reason. Anywhere from 2-10 minutes into a call when I am not touching the phone even. On a couple occasions, I have been looking at the phone and watched it suddenly turn on mute for no reason.

Additionally, today I was on an extended call (45 minutes) on speakerphone. I watched as the mute engaged automatically on three occasions during the call AND the contacts were displayed. All while the phone sat on a flat table and I watched from a distance.

What would cause this?? I've been conscious of what words I'm using and it doesn't seem like anything would be listening to activate them. It's very annoying when you're not paying attention and talk for a few minutes before realizing the other party heard nothing. Any ideas!??

Mine does the exact same thing. I have iPhone 6 64 GB Verizon iOS 9.0.2.

While i'm on speaker phone call, it mutes by itself, goes to contact, selects other contact and either calls them or tries to send them an email. Most annoying part is that it mutes by itself.

Also, i'm not on speaker, screen hide sensor malfunctions. While talking on the phone on my ear, I look at my screen but it stays black or it would turn on but buttons are not responsive. It's really annoying.

I have had variety of problems with iPhone 6, this is my 3rd iphone 6 because I had other problems with manufacturing related issues and all they could do is replace with another refurbished phone. I have had since iPhone 4 and this is the worst iPhone. I am so disappointed at Apple.

Where is Apple on this?

I'm having the same problem since upgrading from an iPhone 4S to a 6s, and switching from AT&T to Verizon about 6 weeks ago. It's maddening.

When I was at the Apple store recently about something else, I asked my Genius about it and she looked at me like I was nuts - and of course it wouldn't happen while I was in the store.

I having the same issues. Random mute on speaker and Bluetooth. Random access of contracts without warrant. I have Verizon and iOS 9.1. I think it all started happening at the update, but I also changed my LTE to voice and data. I will try voice only. If that's the issue, though, that is an unacceptable bug. I need internet on calls regularly.
