Joining tracks in iTunes 12

An updated image from iTunes 12.6.2.20. iTunes 12.7/12.7.1 should be the same.

Works the same as previously.

1. Select the CD in iTunes
2. Sort on Track #
3. Select the consecutive songs you want to join
4. From the CD menu, select Join CD tracks

Even if you are seeing the tracks from your CD in order, you will not see this option when you select tracks, and click the Options menu UNLESS… you first click the column heading above the track numbers. So here’s the procedure:

1. Click the column header above the track number (This column heading is blank).
2. Select the contiguous tracks you with to combine.
3. Click “Options”
4. Click “Join CD Tracks”

Hello! Would you mind posting the solution? Solutions keep being offered for importing from a cd. I want to merge tracks already in iTunes and on my hard drive. Thanks.

You will need to use a 3rd party application to join tracks ready ripped from CD.

I've been through every menu in iTunes 12 and I just cannot find the join tracks!!!! Frustrating as @!##

Do you have a CD inserted and selected in iTunes?

Do you have the CD sorted on the first column?

Do you have consecutive tracks selected on the CD?

"Join CD Tracks" will NOT be found in the menu bar. It is under a gear labeled "Options" on the right side of the iTunes application window (grouped with CD Info and Import CD).

iTunes 12.1.2.27 for Mac

I found that I had to check off the Compilation box on each song for the album to get them join together. This was on an album I had previously imported and I no longer had the CD.

This sets them to the same album and displays together in iTunes.

It does not make them join together as a single track (this thread).

I have NONE of what you are describing in any window. I am trying to join four tracks of a classical piece I purchased from iTunes that are meant to be played in succession.

Because you are not ripping from a CD. The options menu and join together feature only works when ripping from a CD.

Can you post the name of the 3rd party software?

Just about any audio editor (some free such as Audacity) can do it to some extent, though some may involve re-encoding the file with possible quality loss.
