Flagged email not appearing in Yosemite AppleMail upgrade

Flagged email (I had over 200) do not appear in the "Flagged" mailbox after the Yosemite upgrade. If I scroll and find one, and click on it, it is added to the list. That's problematic. Anyone else seeing this issue? I can work around it, but it will take time and is fraught with potential for a miss.

OS X Yosemite (10.10)

Flagged mail depends on Spotlight. Any chance you're rebuilding the Spotlight index?


If not, perhaps the Spotlight index is bad. You can rebuild it by going to Spotlight in System Preferences, adding your hard drive to the "Privacy" area, waiting 10 seconds, and removing it. After the index is rebuilt (this could take a few hours), flags should work.

Chances are it's a symptom of the broader the issue reported here (which for some of us first appeared in Mavericks):
