iPad Air 2 sound vibration

i just got my iPad Air 2 and the speaker vibrates whenever I play video or music even at low volume. Is this a common problem?

Settings> music> EQ> take your pick. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to help and as Trafficker reported only works with iTunes. If you really like music try headphones. i have an iPad 4 and hate headphones but for this discussion I dragged out an old pair and couldn't believe the difference. It doesn't solve the vibration problem without headphone but make the music listening experience much better.

Thanks for the link, I filled out the feedback form.

Unfortunately I do not see this as something that Apple can fix on this model of iPad air so I have decided to return it. Apple have approved the returns so I'm just going to stick with my trusty iPad 4 for now.

A shame really because I did really like the iPad air 2 but the vibration is just ridiculous and I cannot deal with it.

I've been using my iPad air 2 for nearly 4 days but I've decided to return it sometime soon. I'm probably getting an ipad air 32GB right away.

I love this machine from day 1- even the performance of the Touch ID triumph my iPhone 5s. However, the speaker resonance is rather hard to ignore. even my nexus 7, which is supposed to be an entrance level tablet, doesn't have this issue. My laptop, nexus 7 and iPhone 5s all produced clearer and sharper sound without such resonance.

iPad was mainly designed for: browsing, email, photo, video, music, gaming and ebook(according to the initial announcement by Steve Jobs). I'm sure iPad Air can deliver this as well.

Everyone who has this issue should go and submit a feedback form to apple, so they could improve in the future.

No, I don't mean the aftermarket case you put on protecting the iPad...rather the iPad's aluminum case. If something is causing the iPad's aluminum casing to resonate, a common way to dampen resonance/vibrations is with foam tape. This is something that has to be done at the manufacturing level and could have easily been done at that time.

I am sure that apple engineers are trying to address this, after, numorous returns and reports. Most likely a silent fix, like what Apple normally does. There always will be early production issues, whether from a mediocre design choice or manufacturing issue, and Apple often addresses them quite quickly.

I was initially thinking that I would like to wait to claim a warranty when Apple makes some improvements, but I just can't live on a promise. I want the product to work, now.. I am getting an Air original 32G for now, and upgrade in a year, so I could put the tablet in full production the day I open it and not to worry about anything else.

I would love to spend on the power of A8X (as a college student, I've to say all PDFs appreciate any sort of processing power boost), 2GB RAM, 64GB Flash, better display, better camera, touchID and even an amazingly thin tablet, but the speaker is just like tomato sause splashed on a nice shirt. I prefer a not-so-nice shirt without tomato sauce on.

Obviously a lot of people feel strongly about this issue. I have the iPad Air 2 and absolutely love it. Yes I feel the vibration that everyone is talking about. BUT given the new advancements in less weight and slimness achieved in the air 2, it seems to me like it would be physically impossible to prevent this vibration while keeping these insanely thin specs. There is simple not enough space in this build to add effective dampening materials while keeping the current speaker volume level. The iPad air doesn't have this problem due to the extra mass and weight... plain and simple. If you are returning this iPad and waiting for apple to fix this, it will never happen.

I bought the Air 2 because I wanted the lighter, thinner iPad for prolong reading and movie watching.

So the way I see it, you have two options: light/thin with vibration or thick and heavy without. User preference.

I had issues with the vibrations to begin with too ...but after putting the device into a rigid backed iPad A2 case, it has dampened it down quite a lot, and made it a little thicker which I like..... plus I'm using a pair of retro looking Koss Porta Pro headphones now... :-) ....which to be honest sound amazing - especially HD music!.... hooraah! ..........I'm keeping it...=)
