iPad Air 2 WiFi Issues

I'm having WiFi connectivity issues on my new iPad Air 2 (WiFi only). I'm having to turn WiFi off and on to reset my connection. Restarting and restoring hasn't fixed the issue.

Should I tell the dealer that their router is the problem ?

If that was my dealer I would probably not say anything. I probably would just be curious what router that Dealer is using, an N router or an AC router.

I have an iPad2 and thinking of getting a new Air 2 for my wife, and I have an Asus RT-AC68U router and previous person with same router said his Air 2 wifi works with that router model. But that is for home use, what if my wife uses the Air 2 at Starbucks or the Library and has wifi dropping issues? I am naturally paranoid and my mind things only of the negatives lol.

I Just discovered that in addition to my iPad Air 2, I'm also experiencing the same wifi dropping issues with my iPhone 6. I replicated the issue by turning off the cellular data on my iPhone when I'm home. I suspect I didn't notice it before because if the iPhone looses the wifi connection it defaults back to cellular. This leads me to believe that the issue lies with ios.

I have done this, as well as EVERYTHING posted in this entire thread (lol, ok almost)... New Air 2, twice, and my Cisco (Linksys EA3500) router has 2.4 and 5.8....

Same problem with no internet after waking and toggling it on/off to fix it....

Linksys tech support had nothing to offer (and I'm still under warranty) except trying to have me pay $80.00 to some third part Mr. Fixit type of service.

It does appear here that this is Apple's problem, and I sure as heck hope it's not a problem with the Wifi card inside the device... lest a software fix won't do a thing.

Good to know I'm not alone.

Just bought the iPad air 2 with cell service. My wifi connection like everyone *****.

after going through all your comments and trouble shooting my best option was to buy a new router.

this is for sure an apple problem but I just don't have the time to wait for them to fix.

the iPad doesn't play nice with older routers and older router technology.

the he router I installed had 3 SSID names for 2g 5g and the newest 5g

if I connect the ipd to the newest 5g I'm good to go

router bought net gear ac3200 nighthawk x6

hope this helps
